- Thought those of you who have followed this may be interested in this update from the dog walker's fb site. "So.....as you will know by now...Keeko was uplifted by an older small Campervan during her friday walk...the same van was seen to return to the area on monday morning....Keeko was found by the roadside shortly after....dry and warm.. you can draw your own conclusions...

" *** UPDATE: A LIGHT COLOURED DOG WAS SEEN IN TIGHNABRUAICH HEADING IN KAMES DIRECTION LATE ON FRIDAY EVENING. TODAY IN ADDITION TO STRONAFIAN WE HAVE BEEN COVERING THE TIGHNABRUAICH, KAMES, PORTAVADIE, MILLHOUSE, ARDLAMONT, CARRY AREA AND ALONG TO KILFINAN, OTTER FERRY AND STRATHLACHLAN. PLEASE CHECK SHEDS, LOG STORES AND OTHER OUTBUILDING IN CASE IT WAS KEEKO SPOTTED IN THAT AREA, SHE MAY HAVE TAKEN SHELTER. WE HAVE NOT RULED OUT THAT THE CAMPERVAN WHO STOPPED AT STRONAFIAN STILL MAY HAVE PICKED HER UP AND MAY STILL HAVE HER, WE ARE FOLLOWING ALL LEADS.***
Cowal Canine pack member Keeko has gone missing while out with the pack today. We are 99% certain that Keeko was picked up by a white camper van near Stronafian at around 2.30pm this afternoon and we can only assume that a well meaning tourist is feeding and caring for her before handing her in to the police. In the meantime, Duncan remains out on the hills in the remote chance that Keeko is still up there. *** IT IS OF UTMOST IMPORTANCE THAT WE STRESS THAT NOBODY ATTEMPTS TO WALK ON THE HILLS AND CRAGS AT THE PRESENT TIME AS THE CONDITIONS UP THERE ARE LIFE THREATENING ***. Duncan is a qualified mountain leader with 20+ years experience in the Scottish mountains and is also a qualified ski patrol paramedic.
Duncan will remain out on the hill until the early hours, returning at first light to continue his search. Again, we would please ask that Duncan is allowed to complete his search, as is our standard procedure in such an event, without the worry of additional people putting themselves at risk up on the hills and crags in the darkness.
