UPDATE FROM VET CHECK ON BELLA:

Bella is good. Slight temp but the vets think that’s the ticks which have all been removed. Slight scab on leg from car clip but no lasting injury. Everything else all good although tired. No surprises there!

Thank you everyone once again.
JEAN
Brilliant!! well done to all involved. Stay safe now Bella xx
jenny

ClaireC
Bella was successfully trapped today and is now happily back at home with her owners. She will be getting a vet check tomorrow but appears to be in a not too bad a condition. Welcome home Bella and no more adventures. XLast edited: 2018-11-25 21:42:48 by ClaireC

Hi I live in between Weedon and Aston Abbotts and a medium sized black dog has been visiting us for food over the past few days - can’t get near her and haven’t tried too hard as she appears very quick to leave once eaten. I think she will probably be back - happy to be contacted if we can help!

Thanks Jayne

The reason I’ve changed postcodes is because she’s lost from, and spends a greater deal of her time in Wingrave LU7.

Ryan and myself have been back out today to try to find Bella. We’ve had the use of a drone as well. We’ve walked fields and fields around last sighting by Wingrave where she was clipped by a car. Sadly there has been nothing seen.

I can’t actually direct anybody to any one area to walk and it’s now a case of waiting for someone to call in a sighting preferably at the time. I can get feet on the ground if this happens. Please do NOT call out to her if seen, just observe is better or even follow if you can. She does like other dogs, so you may find you’ve got another in tow!! If you can, please carry a spare lead and some treats that would be great.

So many people are keeping an eye out for her and would like to say thank you to you all for your help.
jenny
that is correct it isnt far across the fields from Wingrave to Wing - I am going to put posters up in Wing later and have a look around again. Hoping for good news soon

AnaGee, I don't know the area well but I think the 2 postcodes border one another and that Bella has been seen in both. Hoping she'll be safe soon
AnaGee
Was originally HP22, now LU7 but Wingrave post code search comes up as HP22?
Please clarify (Sorry I'm geographically challenged)
ClaireC
Jayne I sent you an email re any sightings. Thanks x

As Bella is in feral and survival mode, it’s important not to call her name or chase after her. Sightings, preferably at the same time need to be foned in. You can also fone me on 07887652916 as I can easily get someone there very quickly. Thank you Last edited: 2018-11-14 21:54:53 by ClaireC

I did as well. Unfortunately she was clipped by a car in an area which is near her home area! We followed her across 3 fields but lost her amongst them. There are plans in progress to trap in undisclosed locations with the help of the farmers who are such amazing and caring in this village.

Sighted 5 minutes ago by a postman in Oxleys park between Wingrave and wing.

Details of Bella have been posted on local radio site Mix96.

Postered the following places this morning. The Bennett’s lane turning on A418, dog trainer on left, mill cottages have all had a poster put through their door as no one home (this was where the possible sighting of Bella was) Wingrave sports centre on poo bin, old world furniture store, and although I had no posters left when I went up to poster some of Tanzy I mentioned Bella.
ClaireC
Also notify the police station within the village, even if you only put a poster through their door as they are very good at keeping an eye out for missing dogs. Also the bus stops on either side of the main A418 road.
ClaireC
If you can give some posters into the Spar (Londis) Shop, hairdressers, Barbers, Indian Restuarant and the Queens Head Pub and the other one further up the road they will display. Also poster the entrances to the recreation/village green gates and likewise Cricket/football club up there. The Church is also a good place to put a poster because of the fields behind.
ClaireC
Please can you put Bella onto Drone SAR groups as this is very rural area. I have tagged Graham Burton into
my post on fb to make him aware. I will drive over to the area today and drive around. I have alerted two local
Friends who live in the village of Wing and they will go out and look for her and the Whippet missing as well.
