Brilliant news Rufus has been REUNITED after 16 months. Not been able to contact owner, have managed to speak to helper Baldrick and confirm it is this Rufus.  What a brilliant outcome and have great pleasure in moving him into the BLUE.  Email below from one very happy owner sent to Admin with a lovely REUNITED photo, thanks for letting us know.  Power to the CHIP once again.  Welcome home Rufus.  Baldrick is going to call in and see owner.  On behalf of DL I'd like to pass on thanks to Baldrick who did so much to help in the search for Rufus and is obviously over the moon to find out he is back HOME.  Thanks also to other helpers in the area and the DW who made that most important call.  Jan x Dear people of DogLost.co.uk   In May 2008 I lost my Border Terrier Rufus. I received great help and support from your organisation in those awful days, but despite all your and my efforts Rufus wasn't found.   I am very happy to be able to tell you that two days ago, 16 months after Rufus got lost, I received unexpected news from the local dog warden that he had been found and taken to a local kennel in Whitchurch!   Rufus has since come home, is in a good condition and behaves as if he's never been away. I attach a picture of myself and Rufus, taken after our reunion.   I'm very grateful for your all your help and support. I hope this reunion will tell other owners who have lost their dog never to give up hope!   Best wishes   John Allen  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

owner will register. Have postered around the squire yorke, belmont road (where rufus lives), sontley road, the phone box near percy road, st josephs school, Erddig woods car park and both entrances at the sontley road side, bryn offa school (or whatever its called now) and the pedestrian crossing by victoria school. Have also put one up at Rhostyllen playing field by the bench, but ran out of tape, so will need to go back tomorrow. Owner was doing his bin as we left, as it is bin day today. He has also informed postman and immediate neighbours. I also gave a poster to a very nice Police dog handler I happened to bump into. I will get rid of the few I have left in taxis tonight if I can as people get maudlin going home after a few bevvies, and will want to help when the see the very cute picture. Brilliant, had my poster now thanks. For locals, dog is missing from the Ruabon Road/Fairy road area of Wrexham. Have advised owner to poster immediate locality near post boxes/bus stops etc. Have also advised he poster the area in which the dog is walked plus Acton Park. We need to cover Bersham Woods, Erddig woods and car park, Pets at home, Rhostyllen shop and playing field. Also it will do no harm to cover Alyn Waters. If anyone knows of any bitches in season in the area please post. Dog had his first taste of bitches a few weeks ago, and is still a bit frisky! There is also a railway crossing on the Industrial trail from Erddig. If anyone walks there please can you poster. This dog is known in the locality, but is only a stones throw from Erddig Woods where lots of people come from outside the area. This was bank holiday, so someone may have taken him home due to lack of dog warden. Dog is streetwise and good in traffic, but I will ring street cleaning in the morning. Owner is doing a sweep of local kennels again. If anyone posters/phones or does anything please post so that the owner knows what has been done. ThanksLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

ADMIN-please e mail alert LL11 to LL20 inclusive, as Wrexham is a really strange spread out area. I havent had this alert in LL14. OWNER-please ring the following numbers ASAP.Wrexham Dog Warden 01978 292000 Wrexham Police 0845 6071001 Wrexham Holding Kennel (Whitchurch) 01948 662931 Gypsy liaison 01978 315430 Flintshire Dog Warden 01352 703366 Maesgwyn Holding Kennel (Flintshire and Denbighshire) 01745 560546 Out of hours Wrexham and Flintshire often end up at www.nantycorn.co.uk 01745 824646 Capricorn Animal Rescue 01244 547938 N Clwyd Animal Rescue 01745 824646 Dogs literally can end up in Wrexham, flintshire or denbs from here. It seems a bit chaotic at present with the police/council new legislation, so more people are taking dogs home for the night. PM me if you want to meet for postering. I cant print them, but can deliver as many as you can give me, and I dont mind knocking doors either. Good luck x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
