- Admin this cat was returned home last night.
Over to Blue please.
Thank you.
Glad it has all been sorted and rightful owner now has Felix back xx - 2019-01-28 17:11 Patlucky
- This lady has been looking for her cat since 11th Aug.
This armpit of a man has knowingly kept a cat that does not belong to him.
It is called a CAT be different if it was a CHILD
The police would have to act then.
We have some very caring police shame one of those does not take this case.
I am wondering IF this man has other people's cats shut in his house.
If he has they call these people hoaders.

- Theft Act 1968
Cats are regarded in law as property, so the theft of a cat is treated as an offence under the Act, in the same way as theft of any other property.
A cat that is lost or has strayed is generally regarded as the property of the original owner. It is therefore necessary to try to return a lost cat to its owner.

- Captain. You have said it all. Lets keep our fingers xd.
The person/s who have her should return her. Shame on them. - 2019-01-28 11:15 Captain
- This is appalling, and yet another example of why pet theft reform is needed so badly. This is clearly theft by finding, if not theft. Would the police take the same view if it was a BMW someone "found" in the street?? I think not!! The "finder/s" should have taken her to be scanned for a microchip in August and if they didn't they did NOT do all they could to find her rightful family. We need clear and consistent legal guidelines to apply to pet theft, not subjective decisions depending on which police force/who in that police force considers the case. Felix is not a thing, she is family and belongs back with her family, her real family. My cats are microchipped to help reunite us should the worst happen. I, like so many other people, PAID for them to be microchipped in the expectation they would be scanned and returned if found either alive or dead because they ARE family and very loved. If a finder does not take for scanning and then a microchip is subsequently found there should be no question of the animal not being returned to it's rightful family. Really hope Felix is returned to her real family very soon.

- If this is allowed to happen then what is the point of having our animals chipped.
The cat is clearly stolen so why can the police not go sort it.
It makes me so mad someone does this and what is more they get away with it.
I do hope something is done to get this cat back.
How can what should be a cat lover KEEP a person well loved cat.
So if I feed a cat and shut it in my house and it is chipped and put on sites as lost .
I can KEEP the cat (I don't think so) - 2019-01-27 19:19 Unknown
- Surely if the cat is "Chipped" and stolen, then Felix should be returned his RIGHTFUL owner? Keep us posted

- PLEASE UPDATE TO STOLEN.
Jessica has had a call from a vet in Harlow to say they had Felix.
New keeper will not return!
Message received:- The police crime ref is 41/328/19. I have told Herts police it is theft by finding. They say it went to panel & was decided by Detective Sgt Alcock that its a civil case and not theft of any kind. I have asked several times for them to explain how is is not theft by finding. They never do, they simply tell me the decision stands & its a civil dispute. I will contact them again though. - 2018-11-16 21:54 Sharon - Social Media Volunteer

- i would ask friends and neigbours to as well as DL. Post a LOST CAT ad in a National newspaper in case she has climbed into a vehicle, not uncommon for cats to do. Hand out posters to as many people as you can, and where, and when you can. Paws xd.
