Update on FBG:- please note there is no mention of Louis. Pets are property in law #PetTheftReform. We are delighted this man has been issued a custodial sentence. The judge has done this because of the other ‘aggravated circumstances’. Not because a dog was stolen.

It’s been 3 months since Louis was stolen and subsequently recovered and we are finally in a position to provide more information on the circumstances surrounding his disappearance.

During the 9 days Louis was missing we received two ransome letters demanding £1000 for Louis’ safe return otherwise he would be killed. Also sent were his dog collar tag and pictures of him. As a result of further investigations carried out by us privately we were able to recover Louis from a property in Barmby Moor belonging to an individual known to us.

6 days later, 65 year old Kevin Rhowbotham was arrested and on the 30th January 2019 pleaded guilty to burglary, blackmail and stalking and received a 2 year custodial sentence on 1st March 2019.

Thank you all for your efforts in searching for Louis and for your support throughout what was a difficult time.

I just want to thank each and every one of you for your help in finding Louis. All the shares, messages of support and help from those close enough to search for him. I've been overwhelmed by the many calls, texts and private messages I've received about him. My heart was literally breaking with worry about him. Life would never have been the same if I had not known what had happened to him. Thank you to the find stolen Louis team who set this group up while I was incapable of thinking straight. Thank you to my daughter H Naomi Grace who's been incredible in keeping me strong despite her own heartache over him. Thank you to Dawn Kernick Noble who's life has also been put on hold for ten days. I can't thank everyone personally because there is literally thousands out there who have helped.
