- Heartfelt sincere thanks from my family but especially myself to everyone who has shared, rang, looked. posted posters around the locality or just spoke about my little best mate. Unfortunately Ollie was found late yesterday afternoon by a local couple walking their own dog, who spotted Ollie laying in a field next to the lane behind the hedge approx one mile from home. It would appear that by his location he has been in a collision and passed away either immediately or managed somehow to get to just the other side of the hedge.
We are extremely grateful to the couple (I don't have their names) as they not only reported it to the land owner and neighbouring farmer they also gave him my contact details and informed him it was probably the missing local dog. I have had him home last night and typically of me having spent the four years we spent together telling the kids not to bath him, gave him his first ever bath. We will arrange for his remains to be cremated today and hopefully at some stage start to cherish the fantastic memories we have as a family but for me personally. My sincere thanks and much love to everyone

- Should the fact that Ollie has a docked tail (mentioned in a comment below) be included in the marks & scars section?

- The Patterdale that was at Acorn Kennels unfortunately was not Ollie - having managed to get to the kennels just before closing to discover the poor little lad who was lost and handed in to Acorn had a full tail when Ollie’s tail is docked - please keep looking for him the whole family are heartbroken - thanks Alan

- Look at Cheshire East dog warden service fb page - I'm sure this is Ollie. If it is, he is now at Acorn Kennels
