It was a canal work team who found Ben and he has been taken to their depot. I am about to collect him and take him for cremation.

Very sad update on fb which I copy below.

All, mom in fone in tears. A chap has been in touch having found Ben in canal not alive. Apparently the chap contacted Mom getting the details from Bens disk on his collar..... However I have no details if this gentleman to discuss corroborate.
If anyone heard something could they please ask him to call me in 07397 391871.
I don't know where in the canal he was found nor where the chap has taken Ben.......
I want to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for all the time and effort you've all out into this search and we're really touched by your support...... I'm just sorry to report this v sad outcome.....

ClareC that really looks like Ben in that Facebook post. Is there anyone following it up in case it is him? I haven’t got Facebook so I could only view the link so I cannot read any outcome.

No sightings as yet folks, but we have people out searching & leaflets / posters going out, but the more that can help the better......Mom's beside herself as he's her companion since Dad passed away and riddled with guilt for letting him out not on a lead
