Great news, So pleased. Stay close now Bagpuss:-)xxx. I would now try to find out who has probably been feeding him. HAPPY NEW YEAR

He's back, 11:30pm I heard him meowing in the garden. He appears well and demanded food. I will now keep him in for a good period of time as suggested. Thank you for sharing and helping

Thank you for the advice janiejewel1649. I've made up some flyers and posters and will be knocking on doors around where he's been seen.

As Bagpuss has been sighted, then someone else is feeding him (Very common problem) Take a good look around the area, where he has been seen , and take with you an object with his scent on, and rattle some Dremies. Try to find out who is feeding Bagpuss, and ask them very politely not to feed your cat. or the same thing will keep happening. Post flyers through doors too. Ask, around, especially those with children, as they can be very observant (A cat that was posted as missing was found by the owners brother, only ten minutes from his home. A woman had been feeding him fresh chicken every day. Get the picture?) When searching, of course take with you his cat carrier. And then, I would put him under "House arrest" for a good two weeks. I am a cat owner. Are SOME cats as loyal as dogs? Probably not, unless timid like my own house/garden cat. Paws xd.
