“WE GOT HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It’s OVER!!!!!
After over 3 weeks in pursuit of this little monkey Friday looks totally unphased by this episode which has nearly finished us off.
Tonight, it worked!!! – All the planning, stake outs and hard work, freezing half to death and hours of waiting… some genius garden redesign and a trap door making by the amazing Anthony, plus thanks to the understanding feral cat saving ladies who loaned us their garage for stake outs and have supported us with hospitality and kindness and understanding all the way finally letting us transform their garden into one huge trap.
Anthony – who runs Street Hearts BG - well what can we say other than what great timing for us and although he has his own dogs to sort and look after yet his engineering skills have saved the day and we could not be more grateful as it has been a massive success. A real selfless hero and a day we will never forget. Saving UK dogs this time – never a dull moment in dog rescue and a rare UK feral adding to the mix. Poor Emma back in BG holding the fort kindly loaning us her husband for an extra couple of days to help us end this nightmare. Their knowledge and tips from trapping street dogs for neutering has come in handy and Anthony says he’s going home inspired by the garden trap he created to come up with something similar to catch some of the dogs that have eluded them until now.
This feeling is absolute joy, elation, relief and overwhelming emotion. It’s been tough for a billion reasons but we are not going to dwell on that tonight. Tonight, is about celebrating with the little monkey and warming him up. On these freezing nights, with him being so young, and his breed unable to cope well in cold, we did wonder how long he would last.
He looks almost relieved that it’s over in Lou’s arms – the one who had worked with him so much and who has dedicated every day to getting him back since he went missing 3 weeks ago. Her smile says it all – I remember the feeling well with Tarka. She’s never given up on him even those days he was never seen, she was still always trying her best and now it has all paid off.
Rescued for the second time in his short life of only 6 months, this boy will not be getting away again!”

Friday has been captured by his dedicated rescue with help from friends.
Bo
After no shows since Monday, Friday was seen on camera last night and this morning in his usual patch. His rescue still have traps down, netting ready, stake outs etc etc.
Bo
Stake outs by the rescue having confirmed sightings but still evading capture.
Bo
He has experienced people involved trying to catch him.

Sounds as though he doesn't have a high prey drive. Perhaps lay a trail of cat biscuits to the house garden and maybe Friday will follow cat.
Bo
Friday is only a youngster (I think he’s actually a lurcher but not 100% sure) - he came into rescue as a very frightened stray). He was seen in a field near the home he was briefly in (he did have a tracker on but they’d taken it off to charge). Someone entered the house without knocking (a friend) with their greyhound and Friday ran out. He’s hanging round with a white semi feral cat at the moment .... I don’t know anything about the sighting in someone’s garden - just that he was trotting round happily with a cat trailing behind him.

Missing greyhounds that have lived in racing kennels will often respond to other greyhounds and can be drawn out, they seem to recognise their own breed.
