- Owner is having difficulty logging onto Doglost. A Search was organised for today at 12 Midday.
There were quite a few people up on the East Hill looking under bushes & in the gorse bushes. They were using long sticks/canes to try and gain a good view under the undergrowth.
We had a walk down along Rock a Nore we had a good look up along the cliff with binoculars, sadly nothing to see.
I'm not 100% sure but I think the coastgaurd may also have been up on the hill searching.
We bumped into owner briefly who was out with the search, she did say that The coastgaurd did have a look into the gorse/brmbles last night for about an hour but sadly with no luck.
Is so sad and frustrating because if she is caught up/ trapped in the undergrowth along the cliff edge there is no way of getting in fully to search. but people are searching as far in as they can. - 2019-01-11 14:58 TK - Area Volunteer, East Sussex
- Met up with Owner this morning, She is doing everything she can to try and find her dear old dog. Put posters up along Barley Lane & up on East Hill, owner has also already put up posters in same area and she has been along Rock a Nore in Old Town and put posters up. Gave one to Reception at Shearbarn The lady said she would ask maintenence Team to keep a look out.
We met a lot of Dog Walkers and stopped and spoke, all had heard of Pixel and were looking out for her.
It seems Pixel was being walked by the BBQ Area , she was seen at one corner, by the time owner got to the other corner and looked round Pixel had gone. Owner spent a few hours that night looking and has been searching ever since.
She may have gone slightly downhill into the thick gorse/bramble hedging that is at the cliff edge, Owner has looked as far as she can into the gorse, and has used abroom to try and get better visibility, torches have been used to try and see in at night.
There are some badger holes near to the BBQ Area, these have been checked, other option as advised to owner would be to use hose & funnel to listen down them, but due to Pixel being so frail, It would seem unlikely she would be able to climb the bank to get near the badger holes?
Owner has had a couple of BBQ's with no luck.
Dog Warden, Police, Fire Brigade, Coast Gaurd, Lifeboat & Fishermen have been informed.
A Drone was used Wed & Thurs . On Wed it did pick up an animal. ?Dog?fox on cliff face, Sadly yesterday this wasn't seen again. The man with the Drone is hopefully going back tomorrow.
Owner has also spoke with RSPCA and Cliff Rescue who say they will come and rescue if a def sighting.
Owner is doing all she can. Although It is an impossible task to search all the gorse etc due to the thickness and locality to Cliff Top. Last edited: 2019-01-11 15:02:46 by TK - Area Volunteer, East Sussex - 2019-01-11 10:14 TK - Area Volunteer, East Sussex

- Just to say that the Chap with the Drone went back today to take a further look at the area where the possible sighting of an animal was yesterday. Sadly didn't pick anything up today. Owner tried a BBQ today near to where she was last seen, again sadly no sign of her.

- Sadly Still Missing. A Drone was flown over the area today.Looking at fb post on Hastings Dog Lovers, it seems there is a query as to whether an animal spotted on the video may be a dog or another animal. It says the Coastgaurd has been alerted. Am sure owner will update with any relevant news but just wanted to post this to give a bit of a further update.
