- What a sad ending but at least you were with her to say goodbye. She obviously had a long and happy life with you so hold on to the good memories.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Thank you for all your kind comments. One of the neighbours dogs found Jemma 9 days after she went missing. She was in the woods where she was lost but we hadn't managed to find her when we had been searching. She had her collar and tag on and we had put loads of posters up. We are not sure what happened to her, there were no visible signs of anything wrong, but she was in a bad way, very thin and dehydrated and looked like she had been laid up somewhere. We took her to the vets who said that they suspected kidney failure and they said it would be kinder to put her to sleep, which is what we had to do. I'm glad we got her back as we would have never stopped searching but she had the worst possible ending. At least she is at peace now. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- So sorry to hear Jemma has gone missing. She is far to old to be wandering. Make sure you poster all around the area she went missing. Inform all local vets, the dog warden and visit rescue centres on a regular basis. Hopefully someone will have taken her in and will contact you when they see a poster. Good luck with the search.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
