Roni No-one failed Flora. It`s just one of those things that happens sometimes with very nervous rescue dogs from out of the UK People can only do their best with these dogs. But can`t perform miracles As for not running about in fields, she is probably doing just that right now at "Rainbow bridge| I mentioned in my post 2019-01-26 16:01 if these dogs are given any meds until they settle down here. Nobody is to blame here.

So sad to hear about Flora. We failed you big time little girl. You thought that you were coming her for a better life only to have you life taken from you. They must be under so much stress . Do they ever receive any medication from vets to keep them relaxed, until they settle down?

A very sad update I'm afraid :(

Run free sweet Flora

We have some devastating news about Flora. Flora’s injuries were more severe than initially thought. She had a pneumothorax (air around the lungs) bleeding within the lungs, bleeding in her abdomen and her hip was broken.

The vets have tried everything to save her but her injuries were just too severe and she had deteriorated so fast during the afternoon.

So run free Flora, its with tears and a sad heart that we could not give you the life you deserved and that we had hoped to give you.

Update from Chimney Farm

‼️Flora is safe‼️

The good news is Flora is safe and alive. Bad news she was hit by a car so is at the vets receiving treatment. We received the news last night.

We do not know what medical treatment is required as yet as she is recovering from shock of the accident. But we believe her injuries are not light threatening.
We won’t know until she is stable enough to have some X-rays on her back legs.
The vet said she is a very sweet girl who seems pleased to have been caught. It’s been a long cold time for her. She is in good hands.

We will keep everyone updated on the Find Flora page and Chimney Farm International Dog Rescue page as too many pages it keep updated.

We would like to thank you all so much for all your help. Such a vast area to cover and the support was overwhelming.

Special thanks to Sarah and Elliot and team at Dog lost. Amazing support who have been out in all weathers and all hours helping.

To everyone who called, helped with food and posters. Flora is grateful.

Please could we ask your help to remove the posters displayed. When you see one of your able to discard for us that would be great. We don’t want to litter the neighborhoods. Thank you

Hi - I have asked some local doggie friends who live in the area of Flora's last sighting to look out for her - what sort of food would be most helpful to get the best result?

Update from Chimney Farm 10am 24th Jan:

Flora has been missing 6 days now and she has been seen near the Boxhill area, she is desperately searching for food and we need as many kind people to leave water and food source out for her in the Box Hill/ A24 / Norbury Park areas so she can smell and get some food inside her. It is bitterly cold.

We have been searching for days but we are never near the sightings.

‼Please please do not attempt to catch her. ‼
If you see her please get down low and don’t speak to her, see if she approaches, but by trying to catch her and chase her people are making her travel further out of the area. This is so important. We need her in one area, with food and then we can make a plan. Call the number woh any sightings and get a location so we can trace her movements.

Last sighting Box hill area - please do not go searching but put food down.

If you have any spare time today to help place food stations around the sighting area please contact 07903048542 for directions.

From Dog Lost Surrey page - we still have no good news about Flora and are trying to get as many posters up in the area she was last sighted. 😢

Does anyone have any spare time today to help put posters up and chat to local walkers/residents? The areas are Bookham/Effingham/Box Hill and surroundings.

The more people aware of her being missing the higher chnace we will get more sightings.🙏

Hi - I have put a poster up at Ranmore Common (Denbies Hillside car park), just in case Flora travel up here from Norbury/ Bookham area.

From Kat who was kindly helping owner last night on DL Surrey FB page "From Kat re. Flora "Re Flora. I don’t seem to be able to put a comment on her posting that myself and a couple of other people and her very new and so unfamiliar foster owner were trying to catch Flora at the top of Norbury way in Great Bookham yesterday:Saturday evening.

Unfortunately she was consistently trotting very determinedly and very fast and was giving everybody a very wide berth and looked rather panicked.

Having come off the Leatherhead Road (where I had I had also tried to catch her as she was running in the road) and gone left into Norbury Way.
She went into a garden at the far end and then went back down Norbury way and turned left back along the main road, Leatherhead Road A246.
I gave her owner a lift and together we tried to find her again, going along the main road about a mile and round various side roads but at that point we could not find any further sign of her.
This was probably from about 8 to 8.45pm ish.""
