Presumably she will scavenge for food at night after the town goes quiet: any nearby sources of takeaway waste or other strong smelling foods that might attract her?

Latest update from owner posted this morning
Another couple of Myrtle sightings around 12/1 last night. Will post details a bit later. Pretty sure she’s reverted to nocturnal....but at least she’s staying local to us.

Sorry I haven’t replied individually. I’ve basically been walking various loops since I lost her on Sunday...especially to places she knows from our walks. We often walk across Greys road car park, up Gravel hill to Ancastle Green then wind our way back to town (we live by the car park) via various paths. I’ve regularly checked other areas too and will admit I’m tired on 1 1/2 hours sleep. She’s a street dog, only started living inside/going on a lead 3 months ago, in the rescue prior she had 5 months in a compound/stable type set up. She dislikes open spaces and usually stays close to hedges/walls. She panics at loud noises, the hunting guns up in the woods being the worst. My gut feeling is she’s hid out/slept today so I’ll continue to search tonight, focusing on a triangle of the two sightings. I have things out that smell of us and there are posters up, plus all this kind social media, which I appreciate very much. I’m quite low, but determined. She’s a street dog...I’m thinking of her as a small thug unicorn at the moment X

If anyone has the contacts to do so, it would be good to get her information shared to The Henley College, Gillots School and Leisure Centre, and Equestrian World. They are all in that area and her details would reach many people.

I am so sorry to hear Myrtle is still lost. I was the lady who ran after her for about 40 minutes where she started her run from the river end at Henley. She is a very fast girl and I almost got hold of her but she got loose around waitrose car park in the town. She also had slipped her lead - this I gave to Lorraine the owner of hot gossip in Henley - who kindly put out 'lost dog' info on her website too. Lots of people tried to help and I am sure she will be found - stay positive, there are lots of kind people out there helping and I pray she will be home with you soon. Rebecca Godddard

Myrtle has shed her lead and harness but hopefully still has a black collar with white stars on, with a green tag.
