are there any updates

So pleased she is in safe hands, if anyone speaks to the owner please tell them that it is us humans who worry about amputation, dogs just wobble a bit and then adjust. My Tripaw is basically a thug who spends his days (when he is not being a Therapy Dog) charging up and down the sloping field chasing or playing tug with the others.

Ohh, poor Lauren, & her family, It was so good that She managed to get back to her owner & not lie injured for hours whilst being looked for. I imagine that these beautiful Rescue dogs are very resilient .
Wishing you a speedy recovery beautiful girl .

Sorry to see this. Hope Lauren makes a full recovery.. Sad she may have to have her leg amputated. I see three legged dogs sometimes where we walk, and am amazed how well they can cope. Sending Lauren healing vibes for her full recovery. GET WELL SOON LAUREN (Gentle (HUG) XLast edited: 2019-01-25 12:14:26

Original witness post updated;

‘UPDATE...MESSAGE FROM.OWNER, WHO ASKED ME TO SHARE ....
Hi Michelle, I am not on Crowthorne site so am pming you. The injured dog you saw is my Lauren. She is a podenco we rescued from Spain four years ago. My oh was walking with her in the woods when she went off. He found her when she made her way back to him. Incredible that she could do this with such horrific injuries. We have no idea how it happened other than perhaps she ran onto road. We rushed her to the vets. I was traumatised when I saw her leg. Her vital signs are all really low. She is being stabalised and they are looking for other injuries. If all is OK they will have to amputate the leg. She is being so lovely and the vets say she is so trusting and grateful. She has a whole team around her for which I am so grateful and also to everybody who has posted and been looking out for her. Could you please put this message onto your post as I currently am not a member of the group. I will let you know how she is. We are both so upset as I know you were when you saw her. Thank you so much. Diana‘
