I think sometimes people register on many sites when in a panic and then forget who they have registered with. Never mind, as long as she is safe. Welcome home Cookie xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

There is a black cocker spaniel on the lost page 8/08. It is a different area but he could have been stolen and taken further afield.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have owners put ad in lost pets in T & A   and also Yorkshire Post ( as not far from Leeds postal area)  there is also the PDSA hospital up Wakefield Road which could also be contacted in case presents there.  We took a dog we found there to check if he was microchipped and they were very obliging. Thankfully we found the owner by doing this. I know Cookie isnt chipped but they may log it if someone finds him and does the same.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi it would be an idea to give pic to your postman/milkman as they can keep an eye out in the area.  There are two sorting offices for post which cover Idle , Thackley and shipley.  One is at Forster Square, Bradford and the other is in Shipley itself. Try get a poster in each one. I had a drive around Shipley last night and gave info and owner contact details to 2 patrolling policemen and some people out walking along Windhill Old Road. Now there is a pic I will get some printed off and get more put up. The water treatment works at Esholt would be an idea too to put a poster up - . as people will be driving in and around Ainsbury/Esholt area Keep checking daily with dog wardens and also Marina Kennels, Huddersfield and Fleet Kennels. There is also a guy at the bottom of Thackley Woods who purports to be a dog rescue. Check that cookie hasnt been taken in by himLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

owner has called all dog wardens, kennels, dogstrust etc, leeds dog warden was informed but not interested as it is not their area, even though he went missing 10 mins from leeds area. posters up everywhere. owner has not had one phone call. Cookie was in Thackley Woods at the bottom with his owners and their friends, Man came round corner with his dog, a springer and Cookie went off for sniff and never been seen since. posters where he went missing.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sara, sorry to see your lovely Cookie is missing, do please post and let us know the circumstances.  Contact DW's in your area and surrounding areas, rescues and also all vets (you will find information on vets by selecting the logo right hand side underneath the Latest Missing photos).  You need to get posters out a.s.a.p. if he has gone missing the in woods return to the area, put posters up and hand out smaller ones to walkers etc.  Good luck and hope he is found soon.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
