- Thanks for the advice janiejewel, we have pretty well covered all those tips including posting around 600 flyers in houses and vets also some laminated ones on lampost's, we walk around the streets calling him as well. Dave

- As new to to area, Cosmo has probably become lost., and disorientated, He is subjected to new scents (Cats hate change of any kind). They like familiar scents . I would walk around the area, holding an object with his scent on, and rattle some Dreamies. Also wipe his scent from the area he has been sighted up to your garden fences. Whilst doing this, use the same deodorant you use on a day to day basis, as he will recognize the scent.. And your the one he trusts. (Aftershave if a male is searching, if preferred) Poster around the area, and post flyers through doors too. You may then find out if someone is feeding him. If this proves to be the case, I would borrow a cat trap form an Animal Rescue Centre, or Cat Protection, and ask the feeder/s if they would kindly place the trap in their garden, with his UNWASHED blanket inside; your scent too. I would refrain at this stage from putting any treats inside, because of other cats etc. Paws xd.Last edited: 2019-02-12 13:41:03

- Thanks for the shares and comments, the microchip company has been alerted that he is missing. Unfortunately he managed to force his way out of a locked cat flap the previous occupiers had installed the day after moving in to the new property! We have setup a pet trap where we think he has been seen but no luck yet. He is about 18 months old, all black except for a few tufts of white on his belly - Dave

- Could the cat have got into the transport used to move the belongings around if just moving in? If so it's worth contacting in that postcode area too. Good luck xx

- @FlyingFoxie - Thanks I will pass on for the owners to check, but I think the age on their cat is younger about 18mths.
