- It was wearing a collar and from the direction it was travelling from, it could have come from Bromley or Hayes (Kent).

- We sighted this large shaggy-coated dog yesterday morning at 9.45am. We believe it was Male. It’s legs and ‘undercarriage’ were very muddy as though it had been out for a while (or possibly just overnight in the rain). We were walking our female Rottie through the wooded area of Hayes Common between Croydon Road and Baston Road. Because it came from behind us, we assumed it was with its owner. It passed us at speed and appeared nervous. Even though I always carry a spare lead, sadly I was unable to catch him/her. It was Briard-like or perhaps a Labradoodle. It crossed the car parking area accessed via Commonside and then across the large green opposite the Greyhound pub. It then appeared to cross Baston Road and went off in the direction of Jackass Lane, Keston or could have headed towards Coney Hall/West Wickham. We were both really upset that we wasn’t able to capture him/her as looked scared/forlorn. We go to that part of Hayes Common every morning but sadly no sign this morning and no ‘Missing’ posters visible. In the afternoons we tend to walk both our dogs across West Wickham Common (intercepted by the busy A232 road).Last edited: 2019-02-11 14:27:09 by Millys Mum
