Thankyou to everyone for your support and kind words. They're very much appreciated. Paddy has settled back home and treats the place as if he never left!!! He is very nervous of travelling in the car due to what he went through but managed a trip to the vets today to be chipped!!! All the nurses made a fuss of him and I'm sure with abit of TLC he'll get over his fears. I'd also like to thank all the staff at Prince Bishops Veterinary Hospital for their efforts in getting paddy back home with us. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I am so happy to see that you have your lovely boy home again, it is awful to read about the amount of dogs that are being stolen, the police should be getting more involved surely a much loved stolen dog is far more important then stolen goods, big hug from me Paddy and my Cocker boy sends big licks.  LizLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Great news. We have our Paddy back!!Thanks to 2 lovely people we have him back now. Police have been no use whatsoever. The horrible man (much stronger language has been used) who took him sold him for ?40. makes you sick. If there is anyone who is reading this who has had their dog stolen please send me a message and I will help in any way I can. Posters are the best thing you can do, put them up everywhere! If it wasn't for the posters we put up, we wouldn't have Paddy back now.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

A bit of a longshot but I would kick myself if i didn't mention it. At clumber Park in Nottinghamshire today a springer was stuck on an island in the middle of the lake(he had gone in after a duck and got a bit carried away). When I got talking to the owner she told me he wasn't theres that she had picked him up on her way home from work in the early hours as he was in the middle of the road and she had nearly run him over. He has been scanned and his details are county durham but the telephone number is no longer working, his name came up as Bruno, not that he was answering to it!!!  I couldn't get anymore details as I had no pen or mobile but I told her to register him as found on doglost.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

So sorry to hear your puppy has been stolen. Do you have anymore info can can give us like car reg number or a description of the thief. Make sure you report the theft to the police and get a crime number. If there are travellers passing through your area it may be worth keeping a close eye on them as stolen dogs often end up on their camp sites. Make sure you put posters up everywhere and make this little fella too hot to handle. Dogs are often sold on at pubs and clubs in the car park, also car boot sales are another place for deals to be done so make sure you check them out. Send posters to vets and visit rescue centres. It will also be worth contacting Springer Rescue as I know they have a page on their web site for lost and stolen dogs. Hope you find him soon.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
