If Thelma hasn`t been neutered, she may have gone seeking a mate, and they can go out of their territory looking for one, (Females don`t go as far as the unneutred makes though) Or is someone feeding her in the vicinity? Last year I was in contact with an owner whose cat had been missing for THREE MONTHS. The cat was found by the owners brother only ten minutes from his home. A woman had been feeding him fresh chicken every day. And when searching. although you have the dog with you, use the same deodorant you use on a day to day basis as she will recognize the scent, and your the one she trusts. Paws xd.

Janiejewel1649 thank u I have done this as well as walking my dog various different routes, I have been over the fields late at night searching for her, I have also asked other dog walkers and people to keep an eye out for her. I was talking to cats protection about neutering as my vets were unsure they thought possibly she had been done but wouldn't be able to confirm until they shaved her as couldn't see a scar. I was also going to get her chipped when she was under. Xx

Presume ALL outbuildings checked at the time she went awol? Presume NEUTERED? Put some tuns or chicken in her dish, and call her; night/early morning is best. Rattle some treats too. Place her UNWASHED blanket into a clean container, along with your scent too. Leave in the garden in a sheltered spot, or hang on the washing line if dry; used towels too. Wipe her scent on your garden fences, gates, doors too; anything leading up to the garden. Try a squeaky toy, as it may attract her attention.walk around the area holding an object with her scent on, and rattle some Dreamies. Someone maybe feeding Thelma. (Common problem) (A cat that had been posted as missing for THREE MONTHS was found by the owners brother, only ten minutes from his home. A woman had been feeding him fresh chicken every day.) When it`s nightfall, and you are searching, use a strong torch as the light will reflect a cats eyes. Poster around the area, and post flyers through door too. Ask around, especially those with children as they can be very observant. Post in shops, post offices too. Hand out as many posters as you can; where, and when you can. Post a LOST CAT ad in a National newspaper too, in case she has climbed into a vehicle which isn`t uncommon for some cats to do. Ask friends, family, and neighbours to share as well as DL Paws xd.

• If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
• Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
