I have emailed owner asking for a picture especially after her heart breaking plea spotted on gum tree- maybe if any one does not want to contact owner they can leave a message at admin- lets hope someone makes contact soon. OWNERS POST ON GUMTREE Date posted: Monday 30th June
Location: North London
This is a very special appeal about a dog who has a disability. There are lots of dogs that go missing every year, and you may not think anything of just one more, but please read and judge for yourself if a little help might just be given in finding her.
Just before last Christmas (2007) I owned and loved very much a black labrador cross called Zelda. She is totally blind and relied upon me for walks etc. I spent many hours re-training her as she was 7 years old and hadn't been taught to cope with her disability. She responded beautifully and we became inseperable, me realising her needs, and her confidence that I could provide for those needs.
Unfortunately, a family friend let her out of the house not realising she wasn't allowed out by herself, thought she would just go for a walk and come back. This was the last I ever heard about her. We put up posters, reported her loss to the police, rspca etc and registered her as lost on a few web sites that specialise in advertising lost dogs. I even went on Gumtree. I have stated months since that whoever has her, she is settled obviously and if she is happy and the new owners are happy and coping with her disability, then I won't disturb her peace, I just want to know that she is ok. Nothing. She has to be still alive, the police have her details as do the rspca. I just wish that whoever has her would let me know anonymously. I 'see' her everywhere I go and sometimes even dream that I have found her.
I have never been upset like this over a pet before, but Zelda is special and I need to know she is ok.
So please, if you have her, or know of her whereabouts, let me know, even if it's anonymously.

It's been 8 months since this dog went missing. We really need a photo to help identify it.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
