- Thank you choowie74 for bringing the dog found in Swale to our attention. I have contacted them, but unfortunately it wasn't Archie, although he looked really like him. Thank you again for for your kindness in thinking of Archie.

- Looking to ID a couple walking a Toller by Bristol Cathedral last Weds to rule them out of enquiries. Couple possibly in their 60's? both wearing jeans and small back pack each, short grey hair, man with beard. Was this you? Someone you know? Let us know please.

- Thank you @archiesmum - that’s good about the posters in that area. Did you see my post below that one, I was checking whether an area on the map has been searched thoroughly , I could email you a pic of where I mean if not v clear from my description. Paws crossed for your boy 🐾

- Coleg Gwent is a tertiary college, no live in students and they operate a little different to a uni. There are posters all around the college so one of them may see him on their travel back and forth :-)

- Another idea. How about asking Coleg Gwent to put an appeal out to all their students to look out for Archie - I can see the Campus is near Cross Keys - many of them must be in student halls or accommodation nearby and will be in and around the area - possibly up and about when not many others are and they might see him or have noticed him. The Uni must have a system for contacting all students with news - it would be a way of maybe bringing him to the attention of people who may not already be aware of him being missing. Paws crossed 🐾

- Just looking at the map and scratching my head to think where he can be, to not have been seen since 25/3. Have you had a drone up (if allowed) - there’s an area on the map to the left of Park St/Park View which looks long and dense , possibly wooded. It stretches along the side of the A467 on one side and B4591 Twyncarn Rd on the other side, leading up to the big roundabout. He could be hiding in there? Have you got posters up near that roundabout? Also there’s a big industrial estate off Chapel Farm
rd there - might be worth asking around to see if their drivers have seen him wandering as they are likely to be around early in the morning when he might be travelling. Have you had a fresh appeal / update in your local paper? Sorry if I’m suggesting things youve already tried , I can see you’ve got a lot of local help and don’t want to step on toes, really hope he’ll be found soon. Paws crossed for you 🐾Last edited: 2019-03-31 08:53:46 by . - 2019-03-28 22:28 .
- I’ve shared for Archie on twitter and instagram today. Praying that you’ll get a sighting again soon , paws crossed 🐾

- We are sure that everyone is getting a little frustrated and unsure what to do next as there have been no sightings since Monday 25th March.
We think - and have been advised - the need to up the game by getting more areas covered with posters and flyers - especially for folk to put in their car windows - to promote his photograph.
We need to make Archie too hot to handle if someone is keeping him hidden and just bringing him out at night-time.
Would it be possible for those of you who have put posters on lamp- posts etc and flyers in doors, to state which roads have been covered, so we can blitz any area that have been missed out.
So if we could have village street - whether fully or lightly covered - we then we can plot a map and be able to cover the missing streets etc.
BBC have been contacted and sent all details of Archie and his photograph. This has been sent on to a producer. Fingers crossed - 2019-03-25 15:54 Louise

- Update from Archies owner today:- ARCHIE’S ARMY
SORRY TO REPORT NO SIGHTINGS TODAY
Ross Owen flying his amazing drone, firstly from our home, then from Pandy Park , took all care and diligence to search Crosskeys and surrounding mountain-sides, nooks and crannies, but no ginger Toller to be seen. Thank you so much Ross for all your effort, and Anthony Bailey for support.
We must say that we are very disappointed, but the search goes on, so please stay alert one and all.
We need Archie back on his sofa. Xx - 2019-03-18 17:48 JaneJDyfedZoo

- Archie was apparently seen in Cross Keys High Street the morning after he went missing. Can anyone advise if this was a confirmed sighting? If the location is known accurately has anyone followed up by knocking doors there and asking for CCTV if any there? This point previously asked by others on Facebook but not seen a definitive reply. Whatever, my husband will join the search tomorrow.

The sighting was about 100m from Full Moon Cottage on the footpath on the North bank of the river and upstream of the cottage.Last edited: 2019-03-11 18:50:04 - 2019-03-11 17:54 JaneJDyfedZoo
- Thank you Jill, will pass on this info to people looking. Kate Morgan-Lloyd has also posted the following info:- Have been on the phone and left details with Caerphilly Council who run the dog wardens.
Have left messages with Newport Kennels and Natural Resources Wales.
Have contacted Tosca and Newport Vets but need posters here.
Have contacted Cwmcarn Visitor Centre and given details but need a poster here too.
Anyone about to put posters up at the above venues?
Am awaiting reply from an Animal Communicator too.
Prepared to try anything.
Does anyone have contact with SARDA?
Thanks everyone, fingers crossed. - 2019-03-11 17:49 Skywalker99

- If a river search is needed, these guys might be able to help (or advise re local experts):
https://www.caerphilly.gov.uk/Services/Schools-and-learning/Outdoor-education/Caerphilly-Adventure-Group - 2019-03-10 21:05 BStewart
- I’ve spoken with owner, they’re out looking following the sighting.
I checked along the area he went in to the water with rescue poles and I’m confident that he would have not been stuck under the tree which is across the river. - 2019-03-10 20:31 Sharon - Social Media Volunteer

- Does the local Environment Agency have an emergency contact number - they should also be able to advise on trap points down stream e.g. grids to catch debris, weirs etc.

- A tip I picked up from Scotland is to place something of similar size & weight which floats in the river where the dog entered the water and watch where the current takes it - may lead to a stranding point or exit point where you can then concentrate your search.Last edited: 2019-03-10 18:04:49 by GeoffA - Area Volunteer - Cornwall, Scotland & Northumberland
