Oh Lucy I am so sorry you didn't get your little dog back home. Try to take comfort in the fact that you gave her a good life after the bad start she had. I was so hopeful we would find her after I spoke to you on the phone. My thoughts are with you. RIP little girl.

e mail from owner: Hi Jayne thanks for your help.  Unfortunately my dog has been found dead in the river by fishermen today.  Heartbreaking but a least I know now.  Many thanks Lucy. Run free over rainbow bridge little one-so sorry to hear this sad news.

No joy. its been a long time now. i cant think of anywhere else to look, ring or do. poor little westie-its heartbreaking.

The advert came out in one local paper today-no joy yet and another tomorrow. I also put her picture and advert in the free ads. I rang the many tears kennels and another kennels they put me in touch with-no sign of her. Thanks for everyones kind support. fingers crossed she is safe and well

Sorry the dog wardens weren't very helpful but it's important you follow every lead and never give up looking for her. Have you tried placing an ad in your local paper and asking the local radio station to mention her. Keep checking local rescue centres and send posters to all the places I mentioned when we spoke on the phone ie dog groomers and training classes.

Owner has contacted DW in relevant area, Chelmsford etc.  Didn't get great response from them!!!  She was just coming into season when she went so could possibly be around her area. Given advice on postering, vets, rescues etc.

I have just spoken to the owner of this little dog and she needs help as there is a Westie on our found pages that was picked up by a lorry driver and taken to Chelmsford. If there are any helpers in that area who could put some posters up she would be most grateful. Anyone with any ideas of how to locate this found dog?

Thanks Jan ive done that. do you think she could be the westie on the found site? Ive tried ringing the lostdog number but cant get an answer (it was late last night and early this morning tho!) fingers crossed
