- Thanks Deejay for the info: now we know.

- Dry eye is treatable without having to remove the eye. Just needs artifical tear drops. Had an elderly dog with dry eye & the drops sorted it out very quickly. Since when do dog wardens treat diagnose health conditions ??Last edited: 2019-06-25 20:16:57 by Deejay

- I am sure they will get treatment for her eye Bo,
- 2019-06-25 10:43 Bo
- I hope they sort that eye out, it’s a mess and will be causing her pain.

- So pleased Lucky is now home where she is a loved and cherished family member. Well done to the adoptive family for allowing this to happen as it's got to be hard for them too but how the heck was this allowed to happen in the first place. Stay safe Lucky xx

- Glad she has gone home. GM police don't seem to have a great track record with dogs, read Alfie's story here https://www.facebook.com/groups/BringAlfieHome/

- Wonderful news. Elated for owners. I too feel for the re-homers, as it wasn`t their fault. and I know how difficult it is to let a pet go. that you have become attached to,. but they have done the right thing. And they can go, and re-home another dog, just like Lucky. Stay very close now Lucky:-)xxx

- Fantastic news, it must have been heartbreaking for the re homers to let Lucky go but they did the right thing. Welcome home Lucky ! now back where she belongs.💞🐾 xx

- This is heartbreaking. Is the law still as I understand it in that kennels are not obliged to contact the owners and can legally rehome after 7 days if the owner hasn't discovered their dog is there and put in a claim? For sure this is a law that needs to be changed. It's so wrong. Last edited: 2019-06-23 06:24:09 by Julie Gee

- When contacting the police, ask for the Officer-in-Charge. Paws xd.

- I sincerely hope that Lucky will be back with her RIGHTFUL owners very soon. she was STOLEN and MICROCHIPPED. We are told that microchipping is not proof of ownership. But she must be registered with a vet, so surely wit that would help proof of ownership. She should be returned now. We are all rooting for you; keep up the fight.

- What an awful situation for Lucky and her family...so very sorry all round and thoughts are with you - Lucky, her family and new family...but I hope that you will be reunited very soon 🤞🙏...Good Luck to all involved in getting this lovely lady back home...please stay safe Lucky until you are found xLast edited: 2019-06-21 02:36:38 by Carolynl

- deffo something screwy here - DogWarden Rachel said she had eye infection so left eye removed, so saw av et and not scanned? MDH said they didnt scan - now have recanted and did scan. Petlog why oh why was the scan and chip change not flagged as stolen? This pup needs to come home now.

- hi folks - new group set up to get some press and publicity in manchester - www.fb.com/groups/FindLucky
- 2019-06-19 07:44 Missingpetsgb
- Hi. Did the manager of the Manchester home explain how Lucky was rehomed considering she has a chip and a crn ?
- 2019-06-19 07:36 Bo
- The story doesn’t add up. I hope the dogs best interests are taken into consideration.
- 2019-06-19 06:55 Skywalker99
- Best ring Doglost and make sure their police liaison pushes the police too. I think you should get her back, she was stolen.
- 2019-06-19 06:27 Megpia4
- Its all open and we all know thats shes safe. But will we get her back? I have no idea what the police are doing. Seems like nothing so far. Promising call backs yet nothing back. I spoke to the manager of Dog Home in Manchester and he confirmed he could give the police the address of the rehoming. If they actually push and do something we may have some answers!!!!!
- 2019-06-18 23:03 Skywalker99
- Great she's been found, but not great that due to what seems to be inadequate scanning there are now two victims of this crime; the original owners and a family who have given her a new home and will no doubt be upset at what has happened.
Hope CJ is on the case with the police.Last edited: 2019-06-18 23:04:31 by Skywalker99 - 2019-06-18 22:53 Missingpetsgb
- Just such good news lucky has been located and is ok, as far as you know. Good luck with police. Have tagged them in our tweets for Lucky.

- Hello all, thanks for the support. Were waiting for the police to contact the DogsHome in Manchester to get the address of the owners. Im ashamed and appalled by the police. The orginal girl who stole Lucky is now in Jail. Please if anyone can please call the police to try push them. They are the ones who failed and the system has failed us and Lucky. She has been stolen for too long. At least we have a lead to where she is.
- 2019-06-18 21:29 #stoppettheft
- This is appalling ! 'we' are seeing more frequent reports of Microchip companies Failing their Clients !
We are told by experts that Microchipping our Pet is NOT Proof of Ownership - but WHY NOT ! it is UKGovt Law to 'chip our Dog, yet An Owner has to Employ a Solicitor to Get a 'stolen' Dog back ?!!
& WHY had the Rescue Not seemingly 'bothered' to Scan or at least Check this Database for similar Missing /Stolen
Border Colllies ?
I hope that the Investigating Officer quickly Concludes this Case by instructing the 'adopter' to Immediately hand Lucky back to Her Rightful Owner 🙏🐾 - 2019-06-18 20:51 Missingpetsgb
- So Lucky isn't home then ? Are the new owners returning her?
- 2019-06-18 12:34 Jayne - Founder Doglost.
- Lucky was rehomed from an animal rescue in Manchester...When new owner wanted to update details with Petlog that is when owner recieved a letter from petlog saying someone was trying to change the details. What happened inbetween is a little Hazey at the moment. Owner is getting the police to look further into as Loki had a CRN number.

- Doglost will not update to stolen unless you have a crn from the police. They should be able to help you get one but you need to ring them up or email stolen@doglost.co.uk as they may not see comments on here.

- No update. We just keep getting texts that she’s abusing the dog. It’s nearly been three weeks. The police and RSPCA don’t actually care. Can someone from doglost please update this page to Stolen and not lost. Thanks.
