Debbie123.There is hell of a lot more to story. But crux is Lityle Lady had been straying a good number of months before arriving at spitalfields. Breeder did not have info for owner and nobody reported her as missing anywhere.As such she was treated as a stray , blocking us from taking ownership of her. We made sure she got emergency vet treatment and was comfortable but that was as far as it went. We were prevented from paying for any further treatment as she became property of stray dog team. Sadly by time they arrived, being presented with a critical ill dog, nothing could be done to save her. We did everything possible, to force them to do scans etc but we are just group of volunteers with no voice it seems. Xx

How terribly sad - that her owner just walked away - surely it’s not just the chip that proves ownership if the breeder can show who he/she sold her too - u have a traceable trail - and that person should pay the costs - so sad for you Little Lady - she wasn’t old then bless her sweet girl - no more pain or fear and thank u to the person who tried so hard to help her unlike an uncaring owner

Little Lady I am sure is at the rainbow bridge, thank you for trying so hard to rescue her,but she is now safe with the others at the bridge.

I know her official name, given to her by breeder. But nobody would accept responsibility for her, and her “owner” never updated chip so she was officially a stray. We named her Little Lady whilst we were working with her and it was name that she heard a lot and acceptedAlso we arranged private cremation for her and her ashes will be scattered at a beautiful peaceful place

Oh Shelagh! I’m so distressed for you, how awful. Poor mite, I’m so sorry it has ended like this despite your very best efforts. I’ll PM you but thank you for doing your utmost to get this little one to safety and may she now rest in peace. 🐾

Sad update. Received call this morning to say dog had been found, seriously injured. Rushed her to emergency vets,Where it was found she had twisted stomach. Some emergency treatment was given and she stabilised slightly but sadly this afternoon despite everybody’s best efforts she was too weak and unstable to receive life saving surgery. As she was distressed and pain meds’ were no longer helping the heart breaking decision was made to put her to sleep.

We spent around 2 hours with dog today. Fence between us. She is in good condition and well feed. She is comfortable with location andwith our presence. She bit flighty and hand shy but that to be expected.Will go back in a few hours to sit with her again

Karen, are you still trying to feed this dog or do you have more info? Did you contact the local dog warden to see if this dog is reported lost to them? I can’t find any matching missing posts but the owner may not be online. Thank you.
