- Tjci If the cat lets you pick him/her up. i would take the cat to a vet for scanning. If not, you could borrow a trap from an animal rescue centre or Cat Protection. And then get the cat scanned. Sometimes someone from Cat Protection will come and scan if trapped.
when searching for Buttons, us the same deodorant say that you use on a day to day basis, as he will recognize the scent, and your the one he trusts. Also take with you an Air/freshener which was/is used regularly in the house. It may remind him of his home comforts . Put scented items in the garden (Say Buttons UNWASHED blanket into clean container, and leave in the garden in a sheltered spot, or hang on the washing line if dry; used towels too. Wipe his scent on your garden fences if you can. Just because you cn`t see a cat it doesn`t mean they aren`t around. A at that was posted as missing for THREE MONTHS was found only ten minutes form his home. A woman had been feeding him fresh chicken every day, so you never know. Paws xd. - 2019-08-29 08:25 Tjc1

- I would still poster around the area where you used to live. Take a really good walk around the said area. (Not just the road you used to live at) Someone may have taken her in, thinking she is a stray; not bothering to get her scanned for a microchip. It happens. I would also post flyers through doors as well as general posting in the area. Hand out as many posters as you can; whee, and when you can. Ask around (Previous area) especially those with children, as they can be very observant, especially where animals are concerned. Ask family, friends, and neigbours to share as well as DL. Twitter too. Post a LOST CAT ad in a National newspaper too. Paws xd.
