- Hi - this is what Highways England have said about this dog.
Thank you for contacting Highways England regarding the sighting of a dog between junctions 16 and 17 on the M25. Connect Plus Services works on behalf of Highways England to manage, operate and maintain the M25 and its linking roads, as well as the Dartford-Thurrock River Crossing.
Our teams regrettably recovered a deceased dog from the central reservation at this location around the 18 March. It was described as dark brown and black in colour, which matches your own description. The dog was collected by our Incident Support Unit and taken back to one of our Depots.
The dog was micro-chipped and wearing a collar, therefore we'll contact the owners so that they can make arrangements for it to be collected.
