I’m glad to see Rocko in the blue. Where was he found?

Welcome home Rocko :)

Kynoch and Nine Mile Ride Vets have been Leafletted, owner has spoken to Warden, Police, RSPCA following a call by unknown person stating they saw RSPCA pick up his dog on Park Lane - RSPCA have no record of this - and Binfield Dog Rescue.

I have been to Rocko's home and spoken to owners. He was tethered to a spiral tie out stake by a tie out cable leaving the clip behind so whilst that may not snag, the cable is of a solid, less flexible construction attached to a buckle collar as shown in photo so entanglement is of concern. The immediate area has been postered and Leafletted plus some of the surrounding roads, near the Church and Pub where he was Sighted not long after he went missing. Rocko is a former working dog and was carrying a sprain injury to front right leg although shouldn't hinder movement. Volunteers will be out again postering and scanning a wider area today. In particular Rooks Nest Woods, Brook Farm area where a dog walker heard an untypical, prolonged barking. This is near the Church where Rocko was Sighted on Saturday afternoon.

Rocko is still missing. posters being distributed by volunteers today. There is much rural surrounding land. Rocko has been to a farmers field four miles away since owned so potentially a relevant location also as this breed may easily cover that distance. Last edited: 2019-03-18 06:10:17

Rocko was rehomed from Cambridgeshire farmer and tethered outside to a stake in the chalet and touring park whilst owner was absent when received a phonecall that Rocko was noticed missing around 14:00. The stake was pulled out of the ground and Rocko has been seen with his lead attached in the park and again at St James Church heading towards The Bull PH at Barkham sometime after this (unknown if lead still attached)

Owner lives and works in the holiday park, access home is available. Scenting advice given (bedding, urine trail)

Local 24/7 vets (Nine Mile Ride and Kynoch) plus West Berks Warden details given.
