- I have just seen that there is a Shar Pei that is up for adoption on the Basildon Dogs Trust website. She is also called Nala strangely enough & although it states she is Shar Pei cross, she still looks similar to Nala here & maybe worth checking xxLast edited: 2023-10-03 23:08:38 by Kinsally

- Please see 2 updates from Lorraine-- could alerts be sent to Carmarthen/ Llanelli areas for Nala?
1 - ♥️ PLEA FOR INFORMATION/CONTACT ♥️
As a result of yesterday's post I have received information that within the last 2 years someone has lived in the area with a knee high Shar Pei called Nala. This may or may not be coincidence BUT we need to find out more details on the dog. If the person/s who has this dog or anyone who knows them does, can you please get in contact. We hope they understand as we would do the same for them if it was their dog who was missing and by no means are we making any accusations towards them we just need to have clear proof either way ♥️
Any and all information is in confidence
bringnalahome@gmail.com
2. ♥️ LLANELLI RESIDENTS PLEASE HELP ♥️
Further to previous posts regarding us seeking someone who lived in the Carmarthen area over the last 2 years with a Shar Pei matching Nala's description and the name seemingly matched too. We have now received further information recommending we extend the search out to Llanelli and the surrounding area too as a shar pei matching her description has also been seen there over the last few years, around the Penyfan Playing Fields.
Please check any CCTV, ring doorbell or dashcam.
We ask that anyone in this area who has a Shar Pei please gets in touch so we can rule them out and that anyone living in the area who may be able to provide further information on this dog gets in touch too. Locations of sightings, pictures and videos all greatly received in complete confidence.
We believe Nala has been innocently bought by someone BUT she also had a heartbroken family.
Nala's head sits at knee height with her back around calf height, she has a fine tail that if you are looking face to face will sit to your left hand side.
Posters will be shipping out to vets, petshops and groomers in the area shortly.
Nala's dedicated email address is
bringnalahome@gmail.com
TEAM NALA ♥️

- NALA IN THE PRESS 12th November 2019
The family are now offering an award of £4500 in hopes of Nala being returned after she got lost in Strathclyde Park.
Nala, a five year old shar-pei, got caught up in a fight when walking in the park and ran off.
The family are now offering an award of £4500 in hopes of her being returned.
Doreen Lang is the mother of the owner Debbie.
She told the Wishaw Press: “We were walking and there was a dog in front with a man.
“His dog the turned round and went for Nala. She got such a fright and bolted away.
“After looking, we found the attacker but Nala was nowhere to be seen.”
Nala has been described as a loving family dog who hated being alone.
“She was great pals with my dog, Ollie, and even he is missing her. We have a huge Facebook following and have had media coverage and help from the park rangers.
“But no one has seen her, she must be so scared being out on her own.”
For anyone who thinks they have information on where Nala is, you can get in touch with the Facebook page by searching ‘Help FIND NALA’.

- Public search for Nala:
Sunday 24th March 11am - Strathclyde Park
https://www.facebook.com/events/801137696930866/
"Nala was sadly attacked in the park on Sunday 17th March. She then ran in fear to escape the attack and sadly has not been found since.
The family are very distressed and have done everything they possibly can over the last week to find her with help from many locals. They would now like to request as much help as possible to carry out one massive search and would love if you could help them.
A good meeting point is the large carpark opposite M&D's where the BBQ area is.. there are also other car parks which can be used as overflow too.
Please ensure you wear suitable weather attire and appropriate footwear. Some of this terrain is thick and uneven and may be slippery underfoot.
If you can bring some kind of smelly food with you then that would be a great way to get the scent airborne and hopefully help spot Nala as she will now be very hungry.
It is advisable to perhaps think about bringing soft drinks or a snack too as your well being is as important as Nala's.
!!!!! IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT IF YOU SPOT NALA YOU DO NOT SHOUT ON HER OR TRY TO CATCH HER !!!!!
!!!!! CALL OWNERS IMMEDIATELY WITH YOUR LOCATION !!!!!
DEBBIE 07446095786
JOHN 07527136789
This is what's referred to as a flush and can be a dangerous process as we risk Nala fleeing the area so it's very important to follow the above highlighted guideline.
Finally, please be careful of your footage. This is an area locally known to have snares in it at times and we would not want anyone injured.
On behalf of the family can I say a huge Thank You in advance. They cannot believe the support they have been receiving during his very sad time.
Any questions feel free to post and I will answer them all as quickly as possible." - 2019-03-22 14:26 JEDI52

- Important message from HELP FIND NALA FB group:
"Evening everyone and can we start by saying a massive Thank You to everyone who has worked tirelessly today in the hope of finding Nala. Your efforts have been phenomenal and the family are truly grateful to each and every one of you ❤.
We have now assessed the situation and have to face the reality that she may no longer be in the park and attempting to make her way home. Can we please request that we have FAMILY ONLY inside the park tonight in the hope that if she's still there we can get her to come out if it's quiet.
For all you amazing volunteers offering to look tonight. Can we request that you focus your efforts working from the park boundaries outwards. This will give us a greater coverage of area and potentially lead to a sighting where we may not have had eyes before.
If Nala is outwith the park and attempting to get home she will be heading in the New Stevenston / Carfin direction. This could span from the Clyde running up Barons Haugh way over to Bogs Brae so it's a large area. If anyone could have a wee drive in the car or just a stroll along a few streets that would be great. Remember also to keep an eye out your window just incase.
Finally.. Please DO NOT attempt to catch her, don't shout on her, don't shine a light on her, these will scare her. Try to keep her in sight, take a picture of you can, look out for her floral collar and call the family ASAP or tag me even on this post and I will call them immediately.
Again on behalf of the whole family I have been asked to Thank You as this is a distressing time for them and your words of support and efforts are helping get them through it.
❤❤❤" - 2019-03-19 18:07 GeoffA - Area Volunteer - Cornwall, Scotland & Northumberland

- Sorry to see that NALA STILL MISSING is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (141670)
- Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
- You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
- If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
- If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
- Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
- DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
