Wonderful update:
Update
Izzy went missing on 20th March on a walk in Faverdale fields
We were asked to help so set up a group for izzy and started ground work. We had only a few possible sightings but nothing confirmed so we started with foot searches cameras barbecues and feed stations. Every day and night we were out with the thermal covering lots of areas but no sign at all. We posted thousands of leaflets and posters and bought huge banners to get awareness for izzy. The breakthrough came on Monday when we got a call with a genuine sighting and we headed straight there . She was nowhere to be seen but we set up cameras feed stations and lit barbecues. We searched the area surrounding and found her prints and where she was going for water . An unset trap was put in place and all the food was taken . At 2.50 yesterday we spotted her in a hedgeline but she ran and 7 minutes later we had her on camera. Another barbecue and more food put down and she returned to eat it this morning. Ellie went to move a camera at lunchtime opposite the hedge where I put food this morning and out pops izzy straight into her owner's arms
She has now gone to vets to be checked over but is alive and well. This little girl survived 14 days on her own . We didn't announce we knew where she was as we needed to protect her safe area.
We want to thank everyone who helped with leaflet dropping postering searching Sharing and getting awareness for izzy and for having faith in our team.
We also want to thank Kimberley caravans for letting us take over their land and fields and put cameras up. Also dog alert Darlington and Harvey's army volunteers for all their help and Lewis Nevitt who was out every night scouring areas with the thermal.
Team izzy you were all amazing and again the community of Darlington for all your help and support. Welcome home izzy x
