- Hi Everyone, Just want to let you know that dogs turned up back at caravan we were staying in last week. I believe they were put on beach and found they're way back as they would have been to hot to handle. 200 posters were distributed round about and countless people were spoken to and media were involved. Anyway they are back home safe and well and everyone is delighted! Thanks for all your help, this is a fantastic site and really keeps you on the right at a very difficult time. - Already getting press coverage for these dogs and owner has contacted local media. Sable, I did think that DAWGs only had dogs from their home but did think that someone may "pose" as a previous owner. But good if they have details from way back for every dog.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Owners, please contact Grantown dog rescue and register your dogs as missing, along with the dog wardens for your area. If you think they have been stolen, please follow advice on my post below. Make them too hot to handle for thieves.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- OWNER< Posters (In plastic folders) need to be put up in the area where your dogs went missing, or where there have been sightings -on lamposts, entrances to parks and strategic places in parks, like at the start and finish of tracks and paths, at vets, petshops, carry-out food shops, local shops who often allow postcards in the window, supermarkets who have notice board, community centres, schools etc. You can ask the postman, milkman, binmen (even put poster on bins). You can ask school bus drivers and kids on the bus, or if you have kids on the bus, get them to hand out flyers at school. Deliver flyers to houses & pop through letterboxes . Hand out flyers to people in the street, especially dog walkers. Put posters or flyers in car windows. Rescue centres and kennels, also police offices need checking regularly and preferably visited in person, by owner or someone who know the dogs, because your dog or it's breed may not be recognised by other people. Also police are sometimes too busy to deal with it. Get some media coverage if you can, by asking the local radio station to broadcast them as missing and put an ad in the local newspaper with a picture of them. In the case where they may have been stolen, make them too hot for thieves to handle. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Hi Andrea, just letting you know for future reference, as they are in my area, that DAWGS only re-homes dogs from their present home so you can more or less discount them for lost or stolen dogs. They have the details of the dogs they are trying to re-home from way back. It is always worth looking at their site though.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Emailed poster to all scottish rescues and dog wardens. There was a balck and tan Cav at DAWGS in Aberdeen recently but I think that was before these went missing.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
