doglost.co.uk is such a fab organisation - and being to follow a missing dog ending with a happy ending is such a pleasure - this is unique to this site i believe, and its really lovely

AMAZING NEWS!! Walnut has been found safe in a garden in Kidlington. Sore paw but otherwise ok. She will be staying with relatives until owners return xx

Raine thank you for your offer of help. I am sure the owners and doglost would be most grateful for any assistance you may be able to give.
Raine
I live in OX2. Has anyone put up any posters in nearby Summertown shopping area (or Port Meadow/Wolvercote) where everyone goes who live in Linkside/Five Mile drive and rec to shop etc. I am going into office tomorrow and can print off some posters if not. Can the Oxfordshire Doglost team advise me if they need me to do anything.
DogLostNina
Try and get children involved as they can be very aware ie. out on their bikes and with their phones. Are there any horse riding facilities around where horse riders can keep a lookoutLast edited: 2019-04-29 09:08:48 by Nina
Walnut
Thank you for giving up you time to search for Walnut, we are very grateful. We leafleted the road alongside the Rec. I think it is called linkside. Last edited: 2019-04-28 21:33:17 by Walnut
labrador lil
search party been out Saturday and Sunday but no sightings sadly. Have repositioned some posters that got blown away in the wind or that got wet. Looked all around cemetary and rec, if anyone local is able to help that would be great. Needs some posters putting through letter boxes of houses that back onto the rec as there are lots of gaps in fencing that she may have got through.
DogLostNina
Have any sightings of Walnut been notified to owner or doglost
Walnut
Hi, I am the owner. Walnut went missing by the Rec. on Five mile drive.
DogLostNicky - Area Co-ordinator London, Home Counties & Police Liaison
Hi Nina yes although owners abroad they are monitoring this & also Doglost Oxfordshire team x
DogLostNina
Can I ask is it likely that the owners will be in the area in the near future and are they monitoring this listing
DogLostOwl
You have probably done this, but has someone made sure all vets in area have posters?
labrador lil
I have been in touch with owners relative and they said Walnut went missing opposite the cemetery and just before the Rec, she was seen heading in the direction of the rec. The location of 5 mile drive for where lost is not really accurate, is it possible it could be changed or more description added to lost location please.
DogLostNina
Contact schools and colleges and offer a reward towards school funds. Poster cars, poo bins , bus stops and taxi firms. Put posters in red mail boxes for postmen to take back to the sorting offices.
DogLostNicky - Area Co-ordinator London, Home Counties & Police Liaison
Thanks so much Labrador lil. I’m sure owners will be checking here regularly. The full postcode of where she went missing is OX2 8HT hopefully that narrows it down a bit?
labrador lil
I will try to get a local search party together. If you are in touch with the owners can you establish which end of 5 mile drive Walnut went missing, please. As the name suggests, it's a very long drive.....
DogLostNicky - Area Co-ordinator London, Home Counties & Police Liaison
Thank you Labrador Lil. The owners searched extensively over Easter but then had to return home which is a long distance away. If you are local & are able to search I’m sure it would be much appreciated x
labrador lil
are there any search parties going out to look for Walnut? I could help look with them.
Walnut
Thank you Nicky and everyone who has shared and posted and working so hard to find Walnut. We are so grateful and we are still hoping. Xxx
nalamissing
I do feel for Walnut's owner, I had to go away when my Nala was missing. It was not a good experience.
DogLostNicky - Area Co-ordinator London, Home Counties & Police Liaison
Owner will be abroad for family reasons from tomorrow & so she has added a relative’s number here ending in 247.
Carolynl
I keep checking for updates on Walnut and seeing if any found dogs are possibly her...thoughts are with you through this worrying time...please don't lose hope that hopefully she will be found soon safe and well...and you & Walnut reunited...Good Luck to all involved in searching x
Walnut
Please keep Walnut in your thoughts, she must be somewhere. Any sightings or news will be very much appreciated.
Walnut
Thank you for thinking of her, but I think it is very unlikely she has got to London. She is more brown than grey.
Vera Koster
I don't suppose Walnut could be in London? I saw a (grey) whippet with a red collar on the loose today in Camden, unfortunately I couldn't catch her/him. Good luck with finding Walnut!
Walnut
Thank you Lorraine, but sadly this is not Walnut. She is smaller than this dog, but similar shape and colour.
DogLostNicky - Area Co-ordinator London, Home Counties & Police Liaison
Thank you Lorraine could you please put a link to the post
Lorraine
Had a sighting of a dog running loose in benson yesterday person could not catch it ran off will try and post picture

Have you left things that smell of you/her outside where she went missing...dirty clothing, bedding, diluted wee. Try contacting www.k9tracker.co.uk. Lots of busy roads in that area which is a worry
Walnut
Walnut has been gone for 3 nights now. Please keep looking for her, she is the sweetest girl and will be very frightened. She must be somewhere.
DogLostNicky - Area Co-ordinator London, Home Counties & Police Liaison
Owners have worked so hard to try & find Walnut. Hoping she has been kept safe & will be handed into vets tomorrow x
