- What a relief LOL! As an occasional dog-minder I know how dreadful it is when someone else's dog vanished during a walk - however briefly! goes to show you shoudl always give anyone you ask to look after your dog a PHOTO with the lead, dog bowl etc

- Fantastic News - Now just stay put Mr Darcy - I don't think that Nick & Family could stand any more adventures. Well done to the search team and just goes to show that posters are essential in getting many dogs back home.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Mr Darcy has been FOUND and reunited. Had a message from Nick asked for an update on how they got him back, email received from Nick
On Thursday evening we got a call from the next village, A lady had shooed a strange dog out of her kitchen during the afternoon, and when she told the story to her husband, he had seen on of our posters.
We rallied some support and went up there straight away. No luck after 2 hours searching, so everyone came home for some thing to eat. Later that evening everyone went out again and luckily one of our neighbours on once again no sighting came across him in the road very close to where we had lost sight of him on Monday night. After quite a chase (clocked at 30 mph) down the road, headlights and hazard warning lights on, they managed to call reinforcements and cornered him and caught him in someone’s driveway.
After his three day adventure he is now back with us. A trip to the vet for a quick check-up. He is settled down OK.
I will get a photo taken and send it to you later today.
Best regards, Nick Massey ... This is what we like to see POSTERS working their magic and Mr Darcy going into the BLUE. Well done to everyone who has helped find him, Nick and family are so relieved as we are. Welcome HOME Mr Darcy you little tinker, stay with Nick and family until you mum and dad come home from their hols. Jan x

- Spoken to Nick's partner, Mr Darcy is still missing, there have been no sightings of him. DW's, vets and rescues in the area and further afield have been contacted. We just need that one poster to be seen and for him to be reunited. Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Firstly inform the Dog warden who you will be able to contact at your council offices. Posters (In plastic folders) need to be put up in the area where Mr Darcy went missing, or where there have been sightings, if any - on lamposts, entrances to parks and strategic places in parks, like at the start and finish of tracks and paths, dog bins, at vets, petshops, pubs, carry-out food shops, post offices, local shops who often allow postcards in the window, supermarkets who have notice boards, community centres, youth clubs, schools etc. You can ask the postman, milkman, taxi drivers, street cleaners, bin men (even put poster on bins), to take some flyers and hand them out on their rounds. You can ask school bus drivers and kids on the bus, or if you have kids on the bus, get them to hand out flyers at school. Deliver flyers to houses, businesses & pop through letterboxes . Hand out flyers to people in the street, especially dog walkers. Put posters or flyers in car windows. Rescue centres and kennels, also police offices need checking regularly and preferably visited in person, by owner or someone who knows what Mr Darcy looks like, because your dog or it's breed may not be recognised by other people. Also police are sometimes too busy to deal with it. Get some media coverage if you can, by asking the local radio station to broadcast him as missing and put an ad in the local newspaper with a picture of him. Postering everywhere is the quickest way to get Mr Darcy home. Good luck x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Thank goodness Mr Darcy is chipped. A tiny dog like this will not be running around on his own. Someone has most likely taken him in, so as quickly as you can, get posters up everywhere, call the dog warden, and get some media coverage by contacting local radio and putting an ad in the local paper. Come home soon litttle one. x Stay safe xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Nick, to leave an update select Add a Comment next to the blue cross just above other comments, to print posters select Dog Poster 1 above Other Information and you will find vets in the area and surrounding area by using the logo Find any UK Vet which flashes up underneath the Latest Missing photo. Someone may have picked him up and once they see a poster you will be contacted, good luck. Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Mr Darcy was being looked after while owners are on holiday, I've spoken to Nick who Mr Darcy was staying with and they are going to send a similar picture a.s.a.p. Have given advice and explained how to leave a comment to update us on the circumstances etc. DW, Police and vets have been informed, have advised the chip company is contacted. They have started putting posters up in the area. Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
