- Please check The Pet Detectives Page on Facebook. 4 dogs found on a traveller site and they are trying to find their owners. One looks very similar to yours.

- See original post on Facebook group “animals lost and found in Barnstaple and surrounding areas “(posted by a Katherine Little) dog looks very much like Scratch. Sighted near Halmpstone. Fingers crossed

- There have been 2 sightings recently, one mentioned by Tiana, in Leedstown earlier in May & a more recent one on Tuesday 21/5 again in Leedstown area. The second sighting wasn't reported straight away, but it was in area not far from the earlier sighting. The exact location is not being divulged, as family & some local helpers are monitoring.
Lynne, in answer to your question he was not wearing a tag, but is chipped. - 2019-05-19 18:07 Lynne
- Was he wearing collar and tag?

- Thanks for making us aware, Tiana. I’m not on Facebook so updates here would be very helpful. I do hope he’s ok.
- 2019-05-17 15:27 Tiana
- Understand there is a private FB group monitoring 'potential recent sighting' of Scratch, but can we have update please for those not on FB? Want to check whether to continue searching original area where lost or if this has now been extended, to ensure we focus efforts.

- Scratch is still missing. Searches have not proved fruitful.
The van spotted was a week after Scratch had gone missing & not actually on the day he went missing, but it is thought as he is a courier he may have done a visit the day he went missing too. Owners trying to follow that up with courier company, to see if they could have any useful info. - 2019-05-04 14:43 KatieI
- Any further updates or sightings of Scratch? Any info on whether the van spotted in the area that day was a courier or not? Thanks.

- Carolynl, drone has been out a couple of times doing searches. Sadly no tracker dog as yet, as scent has to be fairly fresh & there have been so further sightings.
Enqs are ongoing regarding a white van in area on day Scratch went missing. Driver desc as hair close cropped wearing football shirt. A number has been obtained, but at this stage, it is not known whether a courier van. ** EDITED to say this van was seen in area a week later & not on day Scratch went missing ** (see my comment 5/5) - 2019-05-02 14:04 Carolynl
- Sorry just re-read and saw that track/scent dogs were already requested...concerned re-: limp as I'm certain all are, likewise to see poor dog and owner reunited...keep the hope...Good Luck to all team Scratch...
- 2019-05-02 13:56 Carolynl
- I know this is a little late in the day possibly (so to speak), but would a tracker dog be good? Or drone? These maybe areas already covered...hoping that you will be reunited very soon...all paws xd

- A few more volunteers attended today & extended the searches to the edges of the map. Virtually all areas have been covered now.
Georgia & her mum are going out again tonight to see what they think needs further attention & will report to the search group (on Fb).
There are a few more who are willing to turn out again tomorrow, who have been today. They will liaise with Georgia later this evening/tomorrow.
The verified sightings were on the day he went missing. he was seen twice by the same person wandering along the lane from the house Firstly around the junction of A E & D emerging from side track, very muddy, then a few minutes later wandering up to where point of arrow in area A is. That is the last sighting. - 2019-04-27 18:01 Jayne - Founder Doglost.
- Bumped and map uploaded.

- Update Day6 > Still need more local volunteers please, boots on ground/sniffer dogs to help search area, now we’ve done extensive search with verified sightings.
FB link https://www.facebook.com/groups/2218047078460186/ has thread with details.
Admin to upload grid map showing that we believe Scratch (due to mobility/age) maybe hiding nearby in areas marked with * - as there is shelter available & went in this direction chasing Pheasant. Please if local help search & wider area in case he has roamed.
Tomorrow National Trust Godolphin House has 10km run nearby, so need to raise further awareness hoping he is spotted by runners/supporters during the event across fields just 30mins away. Please keep fingers crossed for Scratch and let’s get him home safely.
Any more sightings please txt/call owner direct, else continue to post as before on group set up or contact Admin. Thank you.Last edited: 2019-04-27 17:47:25 by Tiana - 2019-04-26 09:13 Tiana
- Thanks Graham/CBC. 2 group searches taking place today around home grounds @ 10.30am & 1.30pm - all welcome to join, just turn up. Bring wellies & dogs if they can help track/find scent.

- The Carbis Bay Crew searched for open and dangerous mine workings in the fields and woods surrounding the property where Scratch was last seen, although there are workings to the west of the property on a footpath leading toward Gwedna House no open and dangerous shafts were found. A search of the thicker hedgerows to the east of the property using a brushcutter and a search along the river from Binner bridge to the ponds also proved fruitless. Fingers crossed he will turn up. Graham. CBC

- Scratch has a fb page, if anyone would like to join who is in area. Owner is desperate for help on the ground to search a vast area, covered by undergrowth etc.
This could be limited airspace, so a drone may not be able to fly without permission.

- Sorry to see that SCRATCH is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (142975)
- Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
- You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
- If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
- If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
- Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
- DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
