So so pleased that Monty has been found safe. Well done to the finder for getting him safely to the vets and thank you to those that messaged me so I could put his owner in touch with the vets. Happy tears all round 😅

Still no news of Monty. The earlier mentioned sightings were of his owner putting her other dog on lead to continue searching for Monty

Adding comments from 2 different people on Facebook, about probable sightings this morning
1) Hi, my wife saw this dog about 9.40 heading up one of the top paths towards the Cliffhanger cafe - it was trying to chase after a lady who he must have thought was its owner but then turned and went back - heading towards base of zig zag path. It had no collar on. She spoke to a lady with black dog who was on the beach path & asked her to ask a lady further along with a brown dog if it was hers & had ran off. These 2 ladies spoke to each other but it wasn’t hers. Then An older lady appeared to come round a bend in the path & looked to get a red rope lead out and pat the dog. Wife headed back to Cliffhanger and they hadn’t walked back that way. She presumed the dog had been reunited with its owner & headed back the other way towards Highcliffe. Hope it’s ok and gets reunited.

2) I saw a bulldog this morning whilst on my dog walk. Very friendly boy. Just before the new zig zag path in Highcliffe. Lots of people about so assumed he was with one of them. It was about 9:45am. Hope he’s found. 🐾💙

Monty went missing on a walk this morning at around 9.30am on the Clifftop above Highcliffe beach. His owner caught sight of him on one of the higher tracks after she lost sight of him heading towards Steamer Point.
The local warden is aware he is missing as are local vets and his owner has been spreading word locally.
He is chipped but have asked that she flag him as missing with the chip company in case he is scanned. Have also advised that posters go out in the area in case someone picked him up but hasnt yet managed to hand him in
