- Wonderful news. Am ecstatic for you. As he he has lost weight, he may have been shut in somewhere. Take care when opening windows (I know you have to sometimes) as cats have very flexible spines so they can squeeze in, and out of very small spaces, about 3" (abt 7 and a half cm) I kid you not. They use their shoulders to help them do this, as they can twist them around. Stay close now Jack:-)xx Thanks for letting Doglost know how Jack was found x .

- Housecats that "Escape" like this will usually feel very anxious, and scared being out of their comfort zone which is in their own homes with people they trust; their owners. And tend to hide close by, or hide in a neighbours garden. A door he has access to, open wide, and stand aside (Don`t block his entrance, as he may see it as a "Threat" and run off). Put some tuna, or chicken in his dish, and place it about twice the width of the open door. Place his UNWASHED blanket into a clean container, along with your scent too. Leave it about 2/3 metre from the open door. Post around the area, and post flyers through doors too. Ask around, especially those with children, as they can be very observant. IF all else fails, you could borrow a cat trap from Cat Protection, (For a small donation, I think). Paws xd that Jack will be reunited very soon. Bearing in mind that Jack being a cat, (Especially a House cat) can squeeze into very small spaces, because of their very flexible spines. I found this out myself when I had my first cat in 2001. (As an adult) So when he is reunited, I would watch the window spaces. Paws xd.
