So sorry to see that Twiga is still missing and no new sightings...all paws and everything xd that he will be found safe soon 🤞🙏 Thoughts are with his must be frantic family...Good Luck to all who searching for this dear older boy...#keep the hope..just wondered if there was a possibility he may have been taken in by someone not on social media? Especially if an elderly person and they're not/weren't quite sure what to do if they had come across him...sorry, just a theory? Hopefully we will see you reunited soon x

This has just come up on my facebook feed from Pets lost and found York UK . I've just nearly knocked down a large black dog. I think labrador. Shot across road from fields off newlane Quite old. Grey muzzle. Disappeared into fields opposite side of road off new lane I went and looked round the field and he appeared from the hedgerow must have been hiding and bolted.

ON THURSDAY THE 27TH OF JUNE AT APPROXIMATELY 2.30 PM A BLACK LAB WAS SIGHTED CROSSING THE A63 NEAR BRAYTON . A WHITE VAN STOPPED TO ALLOW THE DOG TO CROSS THE ROAD. HE WAS AN ELDERLY LAB WITH A LIMP AND HE CAME OUT OF THE FIELDS NEXT TO THE RAILWAY AND CROSSED OVER TO THE FIELDS OPPOSITE AND DISAPPEARED INTO THE LONG GRASS. WE BELIEVE THIS COULD POSSIBLY BE TWIGA IF HE HAS FOLLOWED THE RAILWAY LINES.
WERE YOU THE DRIVER OF THIS WHITE VAN OR WERE YOU ON THIS ROAD AT THAT TIME. DID YOU SEE THIS DOG. ANYONE WITH A DASHCAM IN THE AREA THAT DAY PLEASE CHECK YOUR FOOTAGE. PLEASE SHARE TO AS MANY GROUPS NEAR SELBY AND BRAYTON AS POSSIBLE. ANYONE WITH CCTV IN THE AREA CAN YOU PLEASE CHECK YOUR FOOTAGE

No idea,hes got a group on fb if you ask ,I think theyv searched the full area,had tracker dogs aswell&sure theyv had a light aircraft out but hes still missing,x

Have been out in Thirsk all evening looking for this poor soul. Have postered Thirsk Racecourse, Thirsk Train Station, Regency Pizza on Thirsk Industrial Estate and also Sowerby Caravan Park. There are also posters in the DL6/7 areas. There is a big search happening tomorrow in Thirsk as well.

I drove from Helmsley to the A19 via Thirsk four times Thurs/Friday and drove slowly in case I spotted him. If you have people available,can I suggest they put up posters as much as they can I. Sutton under Whitestone Cliff, and also between Thirsk and South Kilvington? Busy routes but no posters up to alert drivers. Saw a lot in Thirsk itself today though.....It’s been shared around Helmsley etc and hopefully will raise awareness with visitors and tourists. I will print off a few posters and put them up in the car park areas for you. Keeping fingers crossed for you. It’s awful to contemplate but have Highways, Network Rail and River Authorities been alerted? There are lots of people out here willing to help and willing him to return safely x

• Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
