- Cats that "Escape: like this usually feel very anxious being out of their comfort zone which is in their own homes with people they trust; their owners, And will usually hide close by, or someone maybe feeding Toby. A door he has access to, open wide, and stand aside Don`t block his entrance or he may see it a "Threat" and run off. Put some tuna or chicken in his dish, and place it about twice the width of the open door. Place his /unwashed blanket into a clean container, along with your scent too. Leave it about 2.3 metres from the open door. Just because you don`t see a cat doesn`t mean they aren`t around. Poster in the area, and post flyers through doors too. Ask around, especially those with children, as they can be very observant. Post a LOST CAT ad in a National newspaper in case he has climbed into a vehicle. You could borrow a cat trap from Cat Protection. (For s small donation. I think) Place inside an object with his scent on; your scent too. Leave in the garden in a sheltered spot. When searching for him, use the same deodorant that you use on a day to day basis as he will recognize he scent, And your the one he trusts. Presume ALL outbuildings checked at the time Toby went awol. Ask family, friends, and neighbours to shgre as well as DL. Paws xd.
