- Very sorry to hear of Bora's death - I followed her trapping and subsequent rehabilitation for a while. People are talking more and more of autistic dogs, it's interesting, but the fact that she's died from pancreatic cancer is interesting too, because the psychologists of human illness relate pancreatic cancer to the need for but inability to cope with human contact.

- Looking for help for Bora https://www.facebook.com/139915162720874/posts/2717760001603031?sfns=mo
We are looking for a volunteer to help maintain the cameras and food stations that are set to determine if the white dog seen is Bora.
You need to be local to Croft/Burgh le Marsh/Thorpe St Peter or nearby...and it will just be a check on batteries, check of footage (if any) and replenish of food.
We have had a wonderful volunteer visit to set these up...but she has to go home soon, so local help is needed.
You need to be willing to get muddy...and wellies are a must πππΎ
If you think you can help with this...drop a message to Boras Facebook page π Thanks... - 2019-07-03 20:32 Poppyandjane
- WE NEED TO RECRUIT SOME ‘ON THE GROUND’ HELP π
A sighting has come in following yesterday’s update...albeit from two weeks ago...but it is VERY feasible.
IF this sighting is near Bora’s ‘safe place’ and IF she is still there...we need trustworthy people to be available to poster the area, and maintain food trails/dumps, and check camera footage.
Can you help?
πΎAre you local to the Boston/Sibney/Wrangle area or able to get there?
πΎYou need to be available once a day, usually early evening to replenish food/check camera.
πΎYou need to be discreet...Bora will pick up human scent...so it’s an ‘in and out’ as quick as poss job.
πΎYou need to be able to climb a stile as the area is rural.
Canine Capture UK will guide you on this, and Bora’s owner will assist with supplies if needed...but we just need people on the ground (not ‘searching’...just helping in the search/trap process)
Please message this page ( see below ) using the button if you can give Bora some time and help send her home π ( Have you seen Bora - Croft PE24 Facebook page ) - 2019-07-02 22:19 Carolynl
- All paws and everything xd π€π that Bora will be back with you safe very soon...a worrying time for you as her family - but please keep hope...Wishing everyone the very best who are helping to get this little lady back home...please stay safe Bora until you are found - you need be in your loving forever home, sweetheart xLast edited: 2019-07-02 22:23:23 by Carolynl

THIS BEAUTIFUL, GENTLE GIRL IS BORA...AND SHE NEEDS YOUR HELP π’
Update 2/7
Bora, a rescued Spanish Mastiff, has been missing since 12th May 2019 when she escaped the garden following a house move.
She is diagnosed as 'autistic'...which makes her PARTICULARLY anxious...and is going to need trapping to secure her safely.
BUT...
Despite a few sightings of her in the Wainfleet area...there have been NONE since 10/6 (just before the worst flooding)
We have no reason to believe that any harm has come to her...she is capable of looking after herself...but her anxieties make her skilled at avoiding humans (predators in her eyes)...and the recent environment in the Wainfleet area (Chinooks flying around, emergency vehicles, sandbags dropped from the air, trucks, boats, floods etc) will have heightened these anxieties.
She is either:
1. Hunkered down deep somewhere quiet and unseen in the area - PLEASE ADVISE US OF ANYTHING UNUSUAL...bins overturned, your dog/cat/chickens etc indicating something 'is there' or, of course, if you see her (try to get a photo, DO NOT APPROACH HER as she will run and the opportunity to start the trapping process will be lost, message this page ASAP)
or
2. She has moved on, out of the immediate area...in which case please share this post/page widely up to Grimsby pages, across to Leicester, and down to Cambridge!...we need her recognised and the 'no chase' message spread far and wide.
PHYSICAL POSTERS ARE THE PROVEN BEST WAY TO GET A MESSAGE LIKE THIS ACROSS
No apologies for the long post...after all the disruption to the area, a full update was needed...BUT BORA NEEDS YOUR HELP TO FIND HER WAY HOME π PLEASE do what you can for her πLast edited: 2019-07-02 21:02:40 by Poppyandjane - 2019-06-06 00:08 JEAN

- DRONE SAR were contacted but due to the nature of Bora, a drone may not be suitable and would potentially push her out of an area she may feel safe in.
Bora now has her own group: https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=336833983669017&id=336815790337503&hc_location=ufi - 2019-05-29 15:46 Poppyandjane

- Suzanne are network rail aware?
- 2019-05-28 17:40 Suzanne
- No sightings since 17/18th May. Possibly on the railway tracks as she was seen at Thorne Station, IF she stayed on the tracks she could be heading for Boston but could be anywhere now.
- 2019-05-27 11:53 Lago
- Are there any recent sightings of Bora please
- 2019-05-25 13:32 Lago
- Are owners/daughter able to confirm the microchip has been updated. Also whether there are any more recent sightings of Bora. Is the owner now in a position to keep contact with the original rescue
- 2019-05-22 18:10 Owl
- I don't know of a local one. Mine is mostly retired on vet orders and only does occasional tracking in our immediate area. Will ask around. There may be one in your area that we don't know about. Unfortunately not many around.

- Unfortunately Bora is still missing. Although we have had a number of sightings in the local area, no one else has been able to get near her to catch her because she is so timid, and she has been gone by the time we have got to where she was seen. If you see her, please do not approach her but do let us know on 07768 298530. We have got some help in the local area and are trying to set up a feeding station where she is hanging out to help us to catch her. Thank you for your help x
- 2019-05-17 09:02 Lago
- Are there any more updates regarding Bora. Have local area been postered etc
- 2019-05-15 12:35 Lago
- If you go to where she’s last seen take something with her scent on with warm chicken and sausages. Hopefully this will encourage her to come to you.
- 2019-05-15 08:14 Delle
- Bora is still missing. She escaped from our new house near The Old Chequers Pub on Croft Lane, near Wainfleet, on Sunday. We have had a couple of sightings reported near to where she disappeared but no luck with finding/catching her as yet. Please keep an eye out for her if you are in the area and get in touch if you see her... Thank you x

- Are their any updates on this little one please. Have the original rescue been advised, so they can share with their supporters?
