The dog warden has picked up the stray dog mentioned earlier but unfortunately not Sid. infact it was nothing like him being a terrier cross! Maybe Sid is still out there as the dogs were not similar at all.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

We have just got our Springer back after 4 weeks. She was 50 miles away. Have you put ads in newspapers? Why not try to place ads in papers out of your area as it is amazing how far they can go or even be taken by people who have the dogs own interests at heart that's what happened to ours.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

owner has been to the area and put more posters up. One man said he had had a good look at the dog and was 100% certain it was Sid. Dog warden has been alerted.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

How strange! Owner has said that her new dog barked at a lady visiting her neighbour the lady mentioned she had seen an identical dog running free 4 miles away! If Jane had not fostered the new dog the lady may not have had her memory triggered!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owner rang this morning to say there had been a sighting of Sid in Burton on Stather which is around 4 miles from Scunthorpe. If you do see sid then please ring the number shown.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have spoken to Jane the owner-having seen the photo's Jane is sure he is her dog however her partner thinks not. This means a trip down to Kent-A long way to go- but every lead has to be followed up otherwise the owners will always be in doubt. My thoughts go out to you as I made several false journeys when I was searching for my stolen dog. God bless. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

How totally frustrating to receive a call from someone to say that your dog is being well looked after and then presumably not answer any questions as to the dog's whereabouts! I can't work out if that is more cruel than not hearing at all - let's hope this lady's conscience gets the better of her and she has the decency to phone back. Good luck Jane, we're all thinking of you.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Jane, I don't live in your area, if I did I'd help! Just to say I'm thinking of you and Sid and hope you are reunited very very soon. He looks gorgeous and I'm sure someone will be looking after him well unaware that he already has a loving owner! Good luck!!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I know Jane really well and Sid is her son, there is no other way to describe the bond between them. Jane makes him special dog food (with his tablets in) and he has his favourite biscuits and ice-cream. Sid's "sister" is pining for him. I appeal to everyone that has phoned Jane to-date to get in touch with her so that she can give them more information about Sid. As a mate of Jane and as a dog lover, many thanks to Mr Taylor and Fido for taking an interest and keeping a look out for Sid and other dogs that have gone missing in the area.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
