And sometimes a person will take a fancy to a cat, and try to hide it in their house. I have known this happen, until they the thief saw the male owner. When you are searching for her, I would take your son with you as they have such a special bond. You could now try a cat trap too from an animal rescue or Cat Protection (For a small donation I think). Place inside an object with her scent on, and place it in a sheltered spot. I wouldn`t put any treats in because of other cats. Paws xd.Last edited: 2019-05-27 10:57:23

Thank you janiejewel for your extremely helpful tips. I have been out most days calling her and spoken to lots of the neighbours.i am printing out leaflets and posters today also. She could definitely be fed by someone as she used to go into next doors house quite often as they would feed her too. I will follow your other tips, just really hoping she's around here somewhere. She has a very close bond with my son so he is also very devastated. I'm trying to stay positive. Rang up all the vets, RSPCA and council. Hopefully someone will get in touch having seen her x

Check ALL outbuildings including empty houses and cellars THOROUGHLY, as some cats will hide., in or behind an object within, especially if timid, Not too late to check as cats can survive without food for 2/3 weeks; sometimes later. They lick on relevant item to keep themselves hydrated. Presume any decking checked? Put some tuna, or chicken in her dish, and call her; night/early morning is best. Rattle some treats too. Place her UNWASHED blanket into a clean container, along with your scent too. Wipe her scent on all your garden fences, gates, doors too; anything leading up to the garden, Try a squeaky toy as it may attract her attention. Take a good walk around the area, holding an object with her scent on, and rattle some Dreamies., Someone could be feeding her, as she is a friendly girl. (Common problem). (A cat that was posted as missing for THREE MONTHS was found only ten minutes from his home by the owners brother. A woman had been feeding him fresh chicken every day, so you never know). When it`s nightfall, and you are searching, use a strong torch as the light will reflect a cats eyes. Poster around the surrounding areas, and post flyers through doors too. Post in shops; post offices too. Hand out as many posters as you can; where, and when you can. Ask family, friends, and neighbours to share as well as DL. Twitter too. Post a LOST CAT ad in a National newspaper, in case she has climbed into a vehicle, which isn`t uncommon for some cats to do. When searching for her use the same deodorant say that you use on a day to day basis, as he will recognize the scent. And your the one she knows, and trusts. Paws xd.Last edited: 2019-05-25 18:03:14
