- If she isn`t neutered, she may have gone seeking a mate. Cats can be neutered at SIXTEEN WEEKS OLD that is the age they reach sexual maturity. And can have kittens, sometimes younger. Neutered cats tend to stay more "Homebound" Also stops males spraying on furniture, fighting with other cats, and prevents Feline Aids, but your cat; your choice.. You can get cats neutered for just 5 pounds if on a low income. But she may be shut in somewhere, so please follow ALL the advice/tips on Harley`s post. His page no,. is 144136.
