- A little bit clearer! I know where Dunford Bridge is although if Michael crossed over the Woodhead then I would have thought that he had gone south from there rather than north towards OL3. But anyway, I will share with friends not far away who have farming and gamekeeping contacts so they can keep an eye open. Such a vast area :(

- Yes, we lived along the Woodhead Pass (at Tintwistle) and our postcode was SK13 .

- I have just spoke with Michael, he said it comes under Saddleworth Moor, Oldham so thinks the postcode is correct. When I google postcode for Woodhead Pass, I get SK postcode. I will request for further email alerts to go out xx

- Can you check the location of this please? As far as I know the Woodhead pass doesn't have the postcode OL3 which is further north (we used to live along the Pass). Woodhead Pass is the A628. Maybe the location is the A635 which DOES cross Saddleworth but is not the Woodhead.

- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
