- wow, what an amazing, emotional Update. πΎππ
How wonderful that Jewel 's location was discovered even tho Her new 'adopters' have No Social Media (not even for an 'Equine purpose' ?!)
Well Done to all involved in putting so many minds at rest, in particular the Rescue x
Thankyou, Jayne, for Updating us πΎπ
Jewel & her furfriend JRT have a much better life now too perhaps ? Last edited: 2019-06-04 21:36:05 by #stoppettheft - 2019-06-04 20:09 Jayne - Founder Doglost.

to me
JEWELs Update.
First of all, I write with Good News. Jewel is found to be well, and happy.
This, is Jewels story.
Jewel adoptant was granted Jewel, a year ago. All provisions and protocols in place, were completed. Over the course of the year till a few months ago Id received photos and contact. Till nothing. Disappearance.
Life can be cheap to some. But not us. We fight for these souls every step of the way. Before during and after care with us. Now, it maybe so that you can adopt from a group and thrn decide youve " Gone off them" Make no mistake they follow their dogs. We do. Even if you think we dont. This actually was not Jewels case story.
The adoptant had someone arrive at their property for equine purposes, and the dogs came out. In her words " Take the russell Im getting rid of all my dogs, "and then came out Jewell inseperable from the russell.
As the story unfolds Jewel jumped into the vehicle and would not get down. On such disreguard the person thought Ill try and see.
On taking them home. Theyre not on social media. Nor any media. Just a phone and an email.
We tracked Jewel to them yesterday and was visited today by Dillian Maas to whom I thank profusely.
Unaware of the situation. The protocol, and the past of Jewel they got on with life with their 2 new dogs. While also having a houseful of happy other dogs.
Today they learnt more on the plight of the galgos. Just how and why we work how we do. And why the importance to find her was there..
The disreguard from her adoptant will be dealt with legally as she was adopted with a contract as they all are.
The adoptant has gone missing, but ... Everything is in good time and Im of the belief what you sew you reep.
Jewel .... Is living in a beautiful home, completely attached to her mama, has her own arga to lie by. Grounds to play in. Friends. Love. And is completely doted on.
The phrase " Love never fails" Really applies as its seen her through. On the visit today, I could not pull Jewel away and bring her home as Id planned. For shes happy. Loved. And its a miracle. She could have ended up anywhere. Gotten rid of as stated, to anyone. And Id never had lived with myself. My promise is all I have to give them.. Of safety and love.
Due to the nature of the case I cannot at this time post photos of her in her new home. But rest assured shes safe and to me it feels like an absolute miracle.
We welcome as I said on the phone to them.. Jewels family to the 112cg bigger family.despite not being on social media. Im amazed.. How this has worked out. It could have been so devastating.
Ive gained another 50 years recently.
Jewels adoptant will be found and taken account for such abandonment.. I thank God she is where she is. For me... A promise is a promise, and if broken taken seriously. Having had her unfound could have been the end for me here. If I promise, I give my heart soul and spirit.
I make that promise to see a broken contract through. That is for sure.
Welcome Jewels family to 112cg family even though you cannot see this.
Thankyou to EVERYONE who has shared. Worried. Cried. And moved mountains to find her
Its worked. Bless you all.
A special thankyou to someone special to me for helping me. You know who you are and I dont know if you wish to be mentioned. And also for Dog lost posters ...- 2019-06-04 19:44 Jayne - Founder Doglost.

- Pleased to say that an emergency home check has been carried out and the rescue are happy for Jewel to stay in her new home.

- I have spoken with Gina who registered Jewel today.
Jewel was in foster with a lady in Gloucester. The lady has since moved, and although she had signed a contract, did not inform the rescue she had moved and they cannot get hold of her or locate her. It is believed that she did not take Jewel with her. The rescue have now heard that Jewel could be in the Devon area.
I have asked Gina for the location in Gloucester so the DL site can be amended, as she is not technically missing from the North West area.
I will update the site as soon as Gina contacts me back and the local coordinator for Gloucester or Devon will pick this up.
Gina has said that Jewel could be anywhere in the UK, so please look out for her. - 2019-06-02 21:32 Claire Gresty - Area Co-ordinator & Police Liaison - North West
