Hi I've put up a few more missing posters including one at Wellington Country Park for the owner but so far the owner has only had 2 'possible' sightings & even then it may not have been Lucky. Lucky was stolen during a break in but they left two other dogs so was obviously targeted and neighbours say that a couple of Irish accented men were enquiring about Lucky previously to this break in. So if these sighting were not Lucky then she could be anywhere so please everyone - Continue looking out for her. She had only recently been spayed so obviously won't be any good to breed from so could possibly have been discarded.. I have two dogs myself and just hate the thought of all these missing dogs being out in the cold especially as winter approaches. As previously stated the owner doesn't have internet access or transport so assuming these sighting were of Lucky she really does need help in posteringLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Posters now put up at both entrances outside Savacentre (Sainsbury's) also one out side the car park by the Avon & Kennet canal in Sulhamstead. If the owner is reading this, please keep us posted if there is any more sightings. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I've just noticed that there has been another possible sighting of Lucky I tried to phone the owner but got voice mail so left a message to offer my assistance with postering etc. I drove around Overdown Road & along Lower Elmstone Drive around 6p.m but sadly no sign of Lucky.  If the owner reads this - in addition to the Posters I put up around Sulham & Tidmarsh Woods & so we don't double up - Ive also put posters by the parade of shops at the bottom of Overdown Road also one at the parade of shops near to where Lucky was sighted & one near to the Riding Stables leading to Sulham. I think Maxine's suggestion of going door to door in the area is a good one possibly with the smaller sized leaflets. Also what about getting the Local Newspapers in on the sighting & who knows maybe Radio 210 because if this is Lucky people need to know about it.  I'm keeping my fingers & toes crossed that Lucky is found very soonLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

ps from Maxine: PS to my previous post, I forgot to mention that it would have been about 3pm ish when I saw the dog on Overdown Road and as soon as I got back from my walk in the woods just before 5pm, is when I called you, so maybe 2 hours have gone by

e mail received at HQ-message left on owners ansaphone to ring: Hi   We spoke on the phone earlier and thought I would email you with this.   I live in Tilehurst on the SNW estate at the top end of Overdown Road.   This afternoon I was returning from Waitrose on Oxford Road and driving up Overdown Road, when I saw a dog like Lucky, on its own, coming down Overdown Road.  It was walking along, looking lost and a little nervous.  I would have stopped but couldn’t but as I continued on up Overdown Road there was no one else - ie a pedestrian on the road - who could have been accompanying the dog.  She was between Overdown Road shops and the little mini roundabout at the top of Overdown Road where it joins with Lower Elmstone Drive.  I thought that maybe the dog belonged to one of the houses on the road and was just mooching about, but then, I went up to Sulham Woods for a walk and spotted a Missing poster on the gate to the woods.  It was for Lucky and it made me think that perhaps the dog I’d seen was that dog.  I note from your website that there was a possible sighing of the dog on 23rd August at Norcot Road in Tilehurst.  Well we’re not too far from there so maybe this is the same dog?  It could be worth the owners while having a look around or knocking on a few doors in the area?    I hope they find their pet   Regards   Maxine   Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I live near to Tilehurst so will keep a look out for Lucky. I have put missing posters at all the main entrances to Sulham Woods which backs onto Tilehurst and also at the woods in Tidmarsh. The regular dog walkers are now aware that Lucky is missing. Posters need to be put up at all the big supermarkets i.e Savacentre, Tesco and Asda. If I can be of any further help with postering I will be pleased to help. The owner has my details already.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

We have had a sighting in Tilehurst near Norcot Road on Tuesday 19th August. A man reported a very similar dog wandering in the back gradens, as a stray with no collar on but was not aware at the time that she was reported as lost. Please be on the look-out in that area - it may be that the thieves, discovering she is neutered, have decided to dump her.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
