Have just come in and seen this good news, I'm so pleased Lulu has been found safe and well.   Always worrying when they are far from home and don't know the area.   Thanks Neil, for the information about Ashley Heath - things have moved on since the days when my dogs went missing!!!   Thank you also to Penny Gayler at NFDOG for passing on my message to Neil, dog warden.   Welcome home Lulu, and stay safe now xx

I'm really pleased to hear that Lulu is back home and seemingly none the worse following her mini adventure. A big WELL DONE to the NFDC Dog Warden Team - great work chaps and, of course, to the caring landowner who took the time and effort to help reunite Lulu with her worried owners. Welcome home Lulu!

New Forest Dog Warden Service
Hello Lulu has been reunited with her owner via the NFDC Dog Warden Service on Monday 28th July 2008.  She was found on Sunday 27th July 2008 by a local landowner who contacted the Out of Hours contractor, she did spend two days out on her own though, so she is a very lucky girl! Please note that the RSPCA Ashley Heath do not take in stray dogs, only those dogs that have completed their seven days with local councils and have remained unclaimed. Thank you Neil Burton, NFDC Dog Warden  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have now emailed NFDOG to alert them about Lulu as I don’t know if owners have internet access if they’re still on the campsite, and whether they will be able to see any of the information I’ve given.   I’m hoping that NFDOG will be able to get involved at a more local level, so I’ve given them all the information I can about Lulu from her page.   I imagine they will try to contact owners direct on their landline, but that’s not local...may hear more later, will update if I do.   Stay safe little Lulu xx

This is my area when I'm home, which I'm not unfortunately.   There's a lot of forest out near Holmsley campsite where Lulu could hide out, unfortunately there's also a very busy A35 road Bournemouth/Southampton, this is the road Griffin crossed recently.   A photo for the poster would be good, although owner may not have one if they're on holiday.   Contact New Forest Dog Warden Neil Burton, 02380 285202 or 02380 285131 (out of hours contact Lost Paws, 0870 609 1449),and Head Agister Jonathan Gerrelli 01590 682835.   Also contact New Forest Dog Owners Group (NFDOG) on 01425 622736, they are very proactive about letting members know of lost dogs on the forest - many dog walkers have many eyes.   Dog warden will advise on kennels to contact, I know that the RSPCA home at Ashley Heath near Ringwood take the local strays but I don't have tel no.(I'm in France currently).   Postering even without a photo would be good as it will give telephone number to contact should anyone see Lulu, although I notice it's not a local number - is there a mobile number that could go on there?   Good luck with the search, stay safe Lulu xx
