  • Other Info Ted went missing at 6.30 pm on Thursday 13th June in Barrow Gurney. He was probably searching for his best friend, Marchant, who is in this picture. We live in Clifton, Bristol. Ted has only been with us a couple of months and has formed a real bond with Marchant, we are really worried about him. He is a gentle giant with a kind temperament. People frequently stop Marchant in the street to say hello to him and Ted. He is micro chipped and wearing a tag.

"TED AND MARCHANT HAVE BEEN REUNITED!!!

Ted was sighted at 3pm today by Helen and Tim's boys today on the edge of some woodland in Barrow Gurney. Tim tracked him from a distance and contacted us. We cautiously searched the area and soon enough we saw Ted!!!. He kept his distance but gradually came closer. Using a squeaky ball he became more interested and when he was close enough we called his name and he came over, and we got him on the lead. He looked pretty worn out and tired but other than that he's ok. We got him back to Marchant and he had something to eat almost straight away. He was a little confused and overwhelmed but when we got him back to Clifton he started to look like his old self. Marchant and everyone here is overjoyed and relieved to have him back. We cannot express enough our gratitude to everyone involved in helping us getting him back. To the thousands of people that shared the post, came to search for him, advised us on what to do etc, THANK YOU!!!. A special thank you to Ross and Joe (Helen and Tim's boys for sighting him from their kitchen). You'll have to come round some time and say hello. It's incredibly moving how helpful people from all over the country have been in reuniting Ted with Marchant. It just shows how many kind and thoughtful people are out there, and what we can do when we come together.
Love to everyone on facebook who helped out. Here is photo of Ted and Marchant when he got back, and one of Luke when he got him on the lead.
Much love, Marchant and friends. X"

This dog is not a German Shapherd, he is a Leonberger, much bigger than a shepherd and a totally different head and body shapeLast edited: 2019-06-15 14:32:00 by Lozmilzak
