- The stray dog in charlton is safe now with fosterer., we trapped her this evening. I’m afraid she is not Cybil.

- Cybil's owner will be attending the site with an experienced trapper today / tomorrow. She'll keep us updated on progress, it's really important that the sighted dog remains in place. She had already visited last week and knows that it has access to food, water and relative shelter so is in it's "safe" place at present. The lady accompanying Cybill's owner is very skilled and should be able to coax the dog to safety over time. Praying that it is Cybil!

- We are liaising with owner here and checking all avenues to find out who has her now. As you say, dog walker/carer is responsible, but need to find Cybil first and police are now fully involved and she is listed as Stolen.

- The "dog carer" bears the blame for not informing you of the"loss" & not informing petlog immediately. There is no data protection issue because the dog was stolen. The police should be able to chase up the new"keeper"

- The chip definitely has been changed .
Have been speaking with petlog since then , Thanks - 2019-06-19 02:06 reggiemollieros
- You say BATTERSEA dogs home believe her chip has been changed but can you not call the database and ask them? Would be good to know one way or the other. I have been looking out for any old posts and if I find anything will let you know. So sorry such an awful thing to happen.

- If the chip has been changed then your best bet would be finding out which rescue the local dog warden uses and start from there. If you have the microchip number and you call the database registered on they will tell you if has been changed. They won’t tell you the new owner’s details but at least you would know if has been changed.

- Please have a look at female saluki DL ref139599 ROMA, now reunited. Was lost 21 January in central region from new owner just 12 hours after being rehomed as a rescue dog from Scotland. Was found 25 Jan and reunited with the new owner. The photos of Cybil and Roma look very similar. Worth checking?
- 2019-06-16 16:59 Joan
- I guess there is a possibility that when lost originally she could have been picked up by the dog wardens, was unclaimed so went to rescue to be rehomed. Presume the microchip details would then reflect the new ownership.
