I would`t leave Melody alone in the garden, until she is about 5/6 months old. She is old enough to be microchipped. And when she is about four months old, I would have her neutered, as then she should stay more "Homebound"

Check up trees; any decking too. Keep checking ALL outbuildings, as some cats/kittens will hide in, or behind an object within, especially if timid, Cats are renowned for keeping very still, and quiet, even when owners are present. Paws xd. Last edited: 2019-06-23 10:11:04

In touch with owner getting more details. Melody is still missing.

Remember to check ALL outbuildings too. And empty her litter tray, in the garden; hoover contents too as her scent will be there. Someone may have taken her in, thinking she is a stray; it happens, so knock on a few doors too. Consider posting a LOST CAT ad in a National newspaper too, in case she has climbed into a vehicle. Fist of all place her UNWASHED blanket into a clean container, along with your scent too. Leave in the garden in a sheltered spot, or hang on the washing line if dry; used towels too. Put some kitten down for her too. Wipe her scent on your garden fences, gates, doors too; anything leading up to the garden, (Kittens have a very strong sense of smell from, birth). try a squeaky toy as it may attract her attention. Poster around the area, and post flyers through doors too. Ask around, especially those with children,as they can be very observant, especially where a kitten is concerned. If all else fails, I would borrow a cat trap from Cat Protection (For a small donation, I think). Place in the garden with her scent inside it. When she is about 16 weeks old. i would have her neutered, and "Chipped" as at that age they become sexually mature, and can have kittens. And neutering is safer for cats in many ways. Paws xd that Melody will be home very soon. I wouldn`t leave her unsupervised in the garden at 10 weeks old.
