- Hi Carolynl - thank you for the kind offer. Most of the people that I messaged have responded and have sent their condolences - I commented (on Megan's page I think) that everyone in the village was shocked and saddened and were thinking of them - it is such an extremely dog friendly place which is one reason why we love it there. I'm now back up north as sadly my break is over so if you do see any posters anywhere please do ask them to take it down. I understand the poor lad was found not far from the control tower - sounds like he was making his way home - always devastating to lose a dog but seems so very tragic when so young and full of life :-(

- Mandy - I'm in the village...is there anything I can help you with regarding the posters...can I call in anywhere - anyone you've not heard back from? Or are you all covered? A sad task... Last edited: 2019-07-04 11:59:00

- So very very sorry to hear this news. I've messaged everyone i sent posters to to ask them to remove them. I hope in time Megan & George will be able to think of Max and smile remembering all the antics he no doubt got up to and that incredibly cheeky smile :-(

- Thankyou anyway, Mandy

- Carolynl - i can't do posters as i am just visiting Lavenham - but I will continue to send posters thru via FB messenger whenever i see somewhere. Flyers are a great help - its all about raising awareness. I said up the yard yesterday we have had several dogs lost in very rural hilly Scotland and they have been found after a month safe & well. Hopefully Max will reappear before that thou!
- 2019-07-02 16:36 Carolynl
- Mandy, sorry I haven't got posters as my printer's not working but the small flyers instead, as I picked those up from the yard...and can collect more again. So if you can do posters, that would be great. Thankyou, and thankyou for helping me out with what you've done so far...we will get Max shared far & wide - anything to get him home and back to his family x
I know there are many others rooting and caring/sharing - doing what they can to bring him home safe, alongside with so much that the family are doing Last edited: 2019-07-04 11:59:46 - 2019-07-02 16:22 Mandy
- Carolynl - I know you are doing posters in Lavenham - I messaged a poster thru on FB to The Angel Hotel, Cock Horse Inn, Inner Guidance Retreat, Retail Therapy, Howletts Garage all of whom responded and said the would print off to show their customers.
I also messaged The Swan, The Greyhound,Blacksmith Cottage, No 10 wine bar, The Great House Hotel, Weavers House Spa, Cafe Nini, Lavenham Butchers, Posy, Country Flair Home & Gifts, Hadleys, Beauty Gallery, Munnings, Lavenham Church, The Hall - Milden, The Swan Inn - Monks Eleigh, Chilli & chives, Lavenham Guildhall NT and the Lavenham Dentist.
Have sent thru to the East Anglian Daily Times - this has been passed thru to the editor who is going to phone the owner direct to get all the details.
Hope that helps a bit with your distribution - 2019-07-02 12:30 .
- I’m sharing again today for Max on twitter and instagram. I know you organised the big search, do you have plenty of posters up in all these areas? Paws crossed he’ll be home soon 🐾
- 2019-07-02 12:28 .
- @Mandy I had the same problem today when looking for Max! I wrote to admin about it. But it’s not just him, I’ve had it with others too. Not sure what the issue is. 🐾
- 2019-07-02 09:10 Mandy
- Admin - just to let you know that there is something wrong with this listing which is prob why people are still suggesting Max is put on doglost. Originally I couldn't find him because if you just put in Max he doesnt show up - ID number and Labrador Retriever shows him.
- 2019-07-02 08:57 Mandy
- Walked from Lavenham up to the yard yesterday checking old buildings & copses etc. Have put a map of our route on the drone SAR site. Also messaged the poster to 25 Lavenham businesses asking them to display if not already doing so (will do more but under a FB ban at the moment!)
- 2019-07-01 15:40 Baggy Dog
- Shared on our FB page (and have seen lots of shares from other golden people). We were also sharing for a flatcoat who was missing for a week but returned home, so hoping Max will appear soon.

- Reshaping with social media for the safe return of Max
My heart felt thoughts go out to the owners but please don’t give up hope xx - 2019-07-01 10:58 Carolynl
- Meganayms1296...we are all rooting for the safe return of Max 🤞🙏 Still searching, sharing as I know from our messages back & forth how 💔 it is for you all - thoughts are with you x
I'll be back to yard for more flyers when I'm work free in the evenings xLast edited: 2019-07-01 10:59:24 by Carolynl - 2019-07-01 09:54 Meganayms1296
- Thank you so much for everyone’s support and comments.
Trying to get the word out there as much as possible - contacted local newspapers and posters are in most villages
Just have to pray someone sees him soon - they’ve got to surely!!! - 2019-07-01 09:39 Helen - Regional Co-ordinator - Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridge

* MISSING LAVENHAM AIRFIELD, ALPHETON SINCE MONDAY 24th JUNE*
It has now been a whole week since our precious boy has been seen. With only one positive sighting on Monday evening there has been nothing since.
We have covered quite a big area as attached on our map below, Cockfield is an area that hasn’t been searched as much as of yet.
We are hoping to get some more drones in to search further areas.
Due to max not being seen for this long we do unfortunately have to consider he may of been stolen. Please keep your eyes on any selling sites, breeding sites etc. Hopefully if we keep getting the word out someone will see something.
We thank you all for your support so far - 2019-06-30 20:07 Helen - Regional Co-ordinator - Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridge
- Sadly there were no sightings of Max today on the search.
Max now has a facebook page, please join and help find Max

- Yes, there has already been a drone search...and they have been in touch with them. I'm in Lavenham, I know there have been some local area postings...and as you say, it is a very rural area in places...I've got some flyers to go round, unfortunately I'm at work until tomorrow so will do asap after. ..there are many of us in the area hoping that Max will be found safe very soon. I called round the yard friday, and they are very worried that Max hasn't shown any sightings yet. There have been a lot of dog walkers looking out for him too, although I haven't taken mine as although their sense of smell is great, they are very loud in barking which wouldn't help Max unfortunately, as he is scared...all paws and everything xd for today's search...come on Max, show yourself sweetheart, you need to be back home 🤞🙏 x Last edited: 2019-06-30 00:48:44 by Carolynl

- Has the owner joined Drone SAR for Lost Dogs FB page as the area is mostly rural. I'm actually staying in Lavenham for the next week - it's a very dog friendly place - but I havent noticed any posters about Max when I arrived today? Will be going to Sudbury tomorrow and will keep a look out - have put the mobile number in my phone

LOCAL SEARCH
We have decided to hold a local search on Sunday around the Alpheton/Lavenham area.
People are welcome to being their dogs if they want to walk them however our plan is to keep some people static in areas to see if scent will bring Max back as we think he is easily spooked at the moment.
We’re thinking 11am and to meet at Suffolk timber products if anyone is interested CO10 9GN
If anyone feels free to still walk dogs on Saturday please do we will just aim to do a proper search Sunday.
As a family we are going to gather in static areas on Saturday and Hope scent alone can bring him back.
Please be aware we have one public toilet and access to a tap but unfortunately that’s
it. - 2019-06-25 11:10 Carolynl
- I'm free all day tomorrow and friday, part of today (work), Thurs afternoon...I'd have to go in from Lavenham side as I don't drive but just waiting to hear if farmer has given access clearance, as I understand that's what he does? I have vehicle access for lift on weds/thurs/fri evening and all sat morning (but obviously hope he's home before then)! Come on Max...please show yourself x
