Attempts are being made to raise awareness with competitors in a local running race tomorrow. In the meantime Jack and Tom are continuing to search the local area today.

Woody is a 5 year old mix - husky, GSD and spaniel BUT he looks like a golden lab

He is on holiday to the UK from France (although dad is from here).

They stopped for lunch near the top of the mountain, when Woody picked up a scent and took off around 12:30 ish.

He bolted travelling in a NE direction but was later seen by a family on the west slopes towards Choire Mhoir chasing reindeer - so he must have crossed back over. Woody is still wearing his backpack.

Dad (Jack) stayed put for several hours before making his way back down the hill to the carpark using the same route.

Jacks brother, Tom, has taken up his campervan from Leeds so they can stay in the carpark as long as required. Nearest postcode is the Ski Centre Carpark PH22 1RB.

Police and mountain rescue have been informed.

Identifying possible kennels Woody might be taken too and updating his French microchip with UK contact details now."

All paws and everything xd🤞🙏 that Woody will be found safe...what a very worrying time for the family...Good Luck to those helping/will be helping to get this lovely lad back home...please stay safe Woody until you are found...there have been successful mountain rescues - please let this be another🤞🙏 and stay safe yourselves m, folks x
